Wonderful park that speaks to the history of the area. Well maintained and beautiful to behold. Sadly, one bridge was still closed with no explanation from the park. Otherwise, excellent walks and a great place to visit.

We thought the history behind our visit to the old 'Lunatic Asylum was really interesting and the gardens had some spectacular heritage listed trees. Well worth a visit if you are going to Beechworth"

Always worth a look and drive everytime you go to Beechworth. A different outlook everytime.. . something you may have missed... beautiful town to visit with lots of history... Woodshed Falls just out of town.. And the gorge... in town which you can drive right around or take a hike n see more...Woodshed Falls a must see especially after rainfall.. Great viewing decks at fall n just a very short walk to see the water race....

A pleasant ~5km gorge drive with stop-offs. The track is all one way with a few small car parks to stop and take a hike. 4-wheel drive is not needed in the summer, but it may difficult when the track is wet. The gorge looks great and the water is crystal clear.

A glorious drive well worth going out of your way to see the gorge carved out of the rock by the creek which runs small in summer and huge in winter. Accessible by all cars - small to sedan - its a one way road with wonderful views.

We did a ~5km loop at 6:30am to avoid the summer sun and heat, and it was just beautiful. Most of the time the walk is actually on a dirt road, so plenty of space to walk safely.

A beautiful place to take a break from shopping and eating at Beechworth and walk off the calorie along the beautiful bush and especially the stunning gorge. This place is just at the edge of the town.

Great place to enjoy a picnic with family or friends somewhere around the park as you have many places to sit back and enjoy what the park has to offer. You could even walk from town to the park as it is so close. But it it only a 1 way road and basically only a couple of car spots around the park unless you stopped at the powder magazine.

This place is quite a stunning place to visit with so much history and nature a in the one place. The gorge is absolutely amazing. There is a small area where a couple of cars can park so you can walk down to the water and can relax in the water holes.

We have taken this drive multiple times and it never fails to impress. The road is one way and narrow in places but easily negotiated in a family car.
