Budj Bim National Park
Great facilities for camping including flushing toilets and showers. You can have fires in the fire pits and there are also great BBQ facilities. A selection of moderate to easy hikes from one to three hours.

A hidden gem of volcanic features in western Victoria. The caves were a highlight. We did the 6.5 km lava canal walk, which was strenuous and full of interesting things to see althouh sadly we did not see koalas.Would love to go back for additional short walks and cultural options. Facilities were very good.

Wow what an amazing place to visit. The scenery is out of this world, all the old volcanic activity that has occurred here has well and truly leaves you with a sense of an alien world..The camping grounds are clean and tidy and there are flushing toilets there and look great.. cleary a well kept secret ..There are lots of walking tracks you can spend time exploring and Lake Surprise certainly lives up to its name. There are lots of tracks there that are strictly for 4wd vehicles only, the couple that we went on today were very much 4×4 tracks..Will definitely be going back to explore the area more and even take the camping gear along for a few relaxing days..Highly recommended

Although I enjoyed the experience, I expected the campsite to be better.I went there recently in December and there was only two toilets, one that was old fashioned, constantly filled with mosquitoes and bugs etc, so there was barely anyone who used it and there was no lights at night. The other one which was much nicer was near the entrance, far from many campsites especially campsite number 22 which is quite isolated. It was quite modern and well kept, being so clean and also this was the only one with showers, three in total - one for the unisex and one for each gender. In addition, they said there was going to be hot showers but it either runs out quickly or it’s broken as we showered cold for each night. The door lock can also be opened easily which some people may not like. I also found there was little space as the sink couldn’t fit two people because you would get hit by the door that’s right behind it.There’s also a lot of bugs and poisonous spiders which was interesting. The service was well and they left a CFA bucket for our campfire and there’s new toilets that’s probably going to be ready by March. this year,

If you are looking for a place where you can get the feel of bush camping but with basic amenities such as flushing toilet and hot shower, this is the place to go! Just be aware that it's not as busy as some other places but that's what brings the charm of this place.

Wish there was clearer signage. There was no map or much introduction to the caves and lookouts. There are some paid guided tour you can book online (we didn't know) Make sure you are equipped before visiting the tunnel cave, especially a bright torch.

Interesting area, lovely walk around the top but steep ascent and descent at one stage. Great view points. Caves and lava flow paths a must see

Visited as part of a caving trip with the Scouts Victoria Caving team. This national park celebrates the lava fields of a dormant volcano and contains hundreds of caves and crevices both discovered and undiscovered. The camp ground is great it requires booking and payment via Parks Victoria. If you are considering going caving please strongly consider taking part in a formal guided tour with reputable qualified and experienced guides, caving can be dangerous and must be treated with caution.
