Chelsworth Park

Brisk and icy start to the day at this terrific multifaceted sporting facility.

It's an enormous open green area that is in well kept condition. Very good for getting some exercise. Shared pathway gets you around the outskirts but it's also easy to cut across the many ovals and fields. Wilson Park with its dense bushland, wetlands and Yarra River views adjoins at the back. Small playground and toilets as well.

Peaceful place to visit, soccer and footy on at the park at the weekends. Great running track and access to views of the River Yarra makes it an interesting run. Great place to take the dogs for a walk and there is also a couple of children's parks - one with a surfboard which is good fun!

Great little suburban parkland / ovals nestled amongst dense bush land. There is plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a picnic or a kick of the footy.Chelsworth is maintained by the local private school (as they use it as their sports ground), so it’s very well kept.Just beware that this is also the local off-leash dog area, so if you’re not a fan of dogs, suggest you stay away during early mornings and late afternoons.There is plenty of free parking.There is NO playground here.

Nice park with 4 soccer pitches and tennis court

Wish this was my home ground growing up. What a field of glory. I grew up in Mirboo Nth. So even tho we won premiership's. We done it on a 8° titled oval. Probably only one in the country. So talk about how ground advantage...lol

Excellent park all year round. Well maintained. Grew up in area so am very familiar with its surrounding area.Walking paths beside Yarra River leading from Chelsworth Park around to Wilson Reserve which has a good size children's playground with rustic park bench/table.The main park has sitting benches and is dog friendly but be advised, place your dog on a leash when walking along paths beside river in case of snakes.Toilet facilities at football pavilion. However noticed there is no wheelchair ramp or facilities available. There's another small playground overlooking a picturesque billabong near carpark at football oval.Opposite the Park is Ivanhoe Golf Links.
