Cardinia Reservoir Park
Great place for a picnic and hiking. Messmate trail is about 5 Kms and goes through a variety of vegetation and water views. It has some steep areas but generally easy. Spotted a blue tongue lizard and a deer.

Worth visiting. We didn’t explore all the trails but the walk on the edge of the reservoir was enough exercise. It was quiet and peaceful on our visit. Good to see the full reservoir.

Aura Vale Lake is located next to Cardinia Reservoir, along. Wellington Road. Things to see and do. Walking. Tea Tree Trail – 2.5km, 45 minutes one way.Vast area for picnic and Do bbq. Lovely surroundings

Cardinia Reservoir Park
Large open area with great walking opportunities. You can walk along the dam wall and get some amazing views. You will always nearly always see kangaroos for some photo opportunities if you look hard enough. Plenty of parking. BBQ's available at the middle and lower carparks. Large kids playground available to keep kids entertained. Very dog friendly area.

Beautiful walk along the reservoir, it's pet friendly so feel free to bring your furry friends. Plenty of car park but no bins or toilets.Place was clean and tidy but there can be more picnic or BBQ areas to increase tourism.

Lovely atmosphere with plenty of hustle bustle on a weekend. Nice trails for walking around the reservoir. Awesome reservoir views if you drive through the reservoir parkings.

It was so much valuable experience. I won't forget this great nature. Kengaroo and wallabi, koala is here. Before visit, you should remember they are everywhere. When you drive, be careful. You might kill them or break your car.

Great serene place and a great time to see the roos would be the afternoons. Tje viewa feom anywhere in this place are breathtaking! There need to be more signs to educate people not to disturb the roos natural habitat and enjoy their beauty from afar. Great place for dogs to let loose as well where permitted.
