Had a wonderful time taking my kids to see the animals. Beautiful scenery, the walk was very easy and the paths were in really good condition. It was lovely to have a couple of emus pop in to say hi at the picnic area next to the carpark. If you are into bird watching I would highly recommend coming for a visit.

Incredible place with a combination of bush walks around the lake and exhibits with bird hides and pademelon. Best of all, it is free.

Once was a lovely place to visit, easy access to viewing Aussie wildlife up close and fantastic breeding program of endangered species but Parks Vic have removed some of the animals and now it's just a big bush walk. Easy access, picnic area and still worth a visit but don't expect too many close encounters with wildlife. It's a shame ParksVic have made a mess of it over the last few years. Used to be 5 stars!

Serendip Sanctuary
A once beautiful area with an abundance of life and tranquillity which we used to visit regularly - post-2020, it has become a poorly maintained shadow of its former self. Duck pond is a solid brick of moss with no ducks, the waterways are clogged with water-weeds, the paths are eroded trip-hazards, infested with ant nests & giant thistles. The aviary had no birds in it other than random intruder finches - most exhibits are now overgrown nothingness. It's a real shame - still a peaceful bit of nature, but nothing like it was.

Great nature sanctuary, good walking trails (easy for families and kids). There are public toilets and picnic facilities (tables, both open and under-cover).

The sanctuary is fairly good, but it seems to be unattended for a long time. Not sure if it is because of the COVID. It's not guaranteed to see animals. Many cages are occupied by grasses in meters long. It is still a good place for a walk through. If you want to see kangaroos and other animals, you'll need to come multiple times.

I visited in the middle of the week and it was very quiet and peaceful, All i could hear was the local wildlife calls from the tops of the trees. It was a nice way to get in a good 3km or so walk while being able to see some wildlife i don't see in my neck of the woods. It's free to enter and the park is well maintained but unfortunately the lakes were dry when i visited and the bird hides were closed because of covid-19 restrictions. but still well worth the visit.
