Monterey Bush Park is mostly accessed from Tortice Drive, right next to the Ellie Pullin Pre-school.There are also tracks to surrounding streets along the way.It is an easy thoroughfare to McAlpin Reserve, which has a wide range of facilities from BBQs (one with shelter), tables (one with shelter), toilets (including Disabled/Wheelchair access), extensive play area and approximately 10-12 seat benches throughout. The park consists of reasonably well maintained walking paths surrounded by trees on each side for the first 200m, then opening up into a wide area of grassed area with trees. There's limited drainage on the walking path so expect some puddles of water during periods of rain. The park has a small lake frequented by ducks as well as frogs. The bridge has wire secured to the walking base as it can become quite slippery in cold and wet weather.Be aware of kangaroos around sunrise/sunset - they generally stay their distance but can appear out of no-where.While there's a sign at the McAlpin Reserve end advising dogs need to be on a leash, there does not appear to be a sign at the Tortice Drive entrance.

Monterey Bush Park
Beautiful slice of remnant native bush in amongst suburbia. Well-maintained gravel path that links Tortice Dr to McAlpin Reserve, with numerous easements along the way. At night time you can hear the beautiful croaking of 5 different types of frogs! Google Maps currently shows this as “Baringa Flora Sanctuary” which is incorrect - this park is only known as Monterey Bush Park.

Monterey Bush Park
Good size park with dirt / stone paths. The bush area has a lot if mature trees and the birdlife was vocal. The set up of the water area was excellent / surprising. No seating so it was the well kept grass for a rest. Good link up trail to McAlpin Reserve nearby which is well worth a visit.

Monterey Bush Park
Pleasant enough. Not large enough to go on a meandering walk.

Unless we went to the wrong entrance, underwhelming.

Monterey Bush Park
Great walk, nice open space and the dam adds interest.
