Humbug Point Nature Recreation Area
Note the nature recreation areas are accessed by an unsealed road with LOTS of corrugations so only come if you have a suitable vehicle. The location itself is nice and peaceful but can get very busy in summer and the beach areas aren’t the most amazing and there are no bush walking tracks or much else. Unless you’re camping no reason to make the trip to here really

Take-in-take-out camping.Toilets. No water. No campfires. Many private camping lots.Stunningly beautiful coastline.Great low grade coastal walk up to 1.5hrs to Bingalong Bay.(Take some extra rubbish out with you when you leave)

As tourists we travelled about 2 and a half hours from Launceston through rough road and choppy mobile reception to be met by a turquoise ocean glazed with remarkable red stone. The Bay of Fires is a sight to behold and worth the travel to get to. The sea breeze is refreshing to the respiratory system, the people seem relaxed and approachable. The beach is very family friendly and there are facilities available for washing yourself and changing. The toilets are not half bad either. I love the picnic tables provided around the area which is great of picnics and group meet ups. But I appreciate the beauty in peace and serenity. I spent the last day of 2018 taking in the views, it's an amazing spot to unwind and get away from it all indeed

Bay of fires is truly unique. got there just before sunset to enjoy the warm weather while waiting for the sun to lower. The rocks look pretty bland at first glance, but one the sun starts coming down lower adding the glow to these red rocks, everything became magical. We spent 1.5 hours there taking hundreds of photos as we just couldnt stop admiring that beautiful landscape. highly recommend to come for sunrise or sunset.

Very nice place to check out the colours of the rocks and great rocks for the older kids to climb over and have some fun. Great view of the surrounding beach which is a great shade of white which you dont see too often.

A beautiful area where you can walk with the sound of the waves crashing onto the brightly coloured red lichen covered rocks. The unbelievable aqua coloured crystal clear water is just magic.
