Not the airport's fault, but.....I arrived on the last flight 8 Feb 23. While in flight Qantas asked people who needed a taxi to ring the call bell. We were all given a taxi card which I believed indicated a taxi had been booked/ordered. On arrival and upon discovering there weren't any taxis at the airport I rang the local company only to be advised there was a 45-60 minute wait as only one car was working. A ridiculous situation to occur in a supposed tourist region. Fortunately a courier driver who was picking up unaccompanied baggage offered me a lift into town.

Not a bad regional airport. Only one shop airside, but they make nice toasties etc. They have packaged drinks. I have been delayed out of this airport more than any other in my career of climbing on aircraft to commute. It seems delays for all of the irlunes that fly from here suffer the same in this regard.

Very friendly airport staff! Checked in to Qantas this morning, the cafe is already open at 530am. If you're booking another airline (it's called rex or something?) Just be aware of the carry on luggage, it's a tiny plane and the baggage allowance is very limited. There's a tiny gift shop inside the airport too.

Live in Devonport 4 years, take a plant to Mel from here first time. A little gift shop and a cafe. Staff are friendly. My luggage was 1.5 kg over didn’t charge extra.

Great little rural airport. With a mediocre carpark that charges major airport rates (hence 4star rating for airport instead of 5)!!! Little Cafe behind security and a modest Qantas club, nearby parking,... always a joy flying in and out of. Also very close to Latrobe, Devonport, Port Sorell, Latrobe, Spreyton and Railton. Only 80km or so from the legendary Cradle Mountain.
