I highly recommend the Hospital the Doctors and the nurses. Every time I have been there I have been treated kindly and efficiently. They have put my mind at peace which as a patient is what you need. I just want to say thankyou to you all for the hard work and dedication that you all do. You are all highly appreciated.ThankyouJan

I recently attended the Murray Bridge Memorial Hospital Day Surgery Unit for a procedure. The staff there are doing a wonderful job. They remained friendly, caring and professional throughout the course of their whole shift. The day was made easier by their smiles and laughter. Absolutely top staff and good people.Thank you.!!!

Nurses were absolutely lovely and helpful. However doctor was awful, Rude and condescending, he was a younger doctor with an Irish or English accent? I couldn’t tell you the name, because he never introduced himself. He Told me that all I had was a simple UTI and gave me antibiotics and told me to go home. I went to my GP the next day and I actually have a kidney infection.

UNIMPRESSIVE , waiting time, Went to the ? Hospital today/ emergency after having been to the local clinic, both venues with long waiting times, waited at the hosp. For 3 hrs, nowhere near being seen by anyone, this would have to be the sickest town, thankfully not staying, keep going folks!, MT BARKER HOSPITAL has a great reputation!

For someone that is studying to become a nurse, I have never been so disappointed in the delivery of health care by the nursing staff here. A lack of empathy, compassion and respect towards patients and their relatives, especially when at end of life. One of the most horrible times in life to ever experience had just been made even worse for so many people, all because certain nurses are not able to consider the feelings of a passing patient and their family members. I really hope no one ever encounters what I unfortunately had to today with their family that is palliative/at end of life.

Son broke his arm today, took him in. Being the only patient in the waiting room I figured it wouldn't be too long. The triage and waiting room took its time but once we actually got to the bed the doctor nurse and radiology staff were really good with him and even tolerated me being a bit of a helicopter dad pretty well. Even gave his support toy a small bandage bit on its arm too. Really good personality on the staff that treated him.(First time we took him was for bad croupe a while ago)

SA health does not fund for Doctors here, its serviced by a local GP clinic but you get charged Gap fees even though legally there is no such Medicare fee for emergency departments in hospitals. So the GPs charge you as if you visited them in the clinic. It's a scam by the SA Health that scams the federal government Medicare funding. If you visit Flinders hospital ED it's no charge as with any other ED hospital. Sadly the Murray Bridge community are being treated differently and Charged for a service that isn't anywhere else. It's simply a scam, nothing against the local Doctors personally but the community needs to hold SA Health and state Government to account and to provide what is the standard in any other metro hospital emergency department and treat the community people with respect and all equally, not punish those that live in this major region which is only 45 minutes from Adelaide. It's a disgrace and the Federal Government needs to crack down on this scam billing by the GPs, and simply fund the hospital as like any other. Again this is not in anyway a negative comment against the GPs, it's exposing the state Government failing to fund a hospital with Doctors it's a fundamental problem that should not exist. It's the same as opening a restaurant but not employing a Chef or Cook. You can't run a hospital with an emergency department without Doctors and ones that are employed 24hrs a day. It's quite simple logic. But more so stop treating those that live in the community in the manner that their lives don't count or deserve the same as anyone else living in SA. Stop lining your own back pockets, think of the people first that are the voting community.

In my opinion, I could not fault this Hospital. I had to travel from Morgan to have elected sinus surgery, at the day surgery unit, 25th Aug 2020, then for an overnight stay. ALL the staff from admittance, to surgery, recovery and the after surgery care nurses, sisters and doctors were absolutely wonderful and professional in their field of work. I also must not forget the behind the scene workers eg. cleaner's, catering and food delivering staff. THANKS.

No triage staff wen entering emergency room , waiting time for triage staff and after triage is ridiculously dangerous! Nurses are unprofessional and under educated of there duty of care to patients! Staff are not friendly! Doctors are dismissive , waiting 6 to 12 hours for doctor with chest pain and high heart rate should not be acceptable! Patients are not treated with respect, nurses, doctors and staff have a complete disregard to mental health. In the $7 million that was spent on this hospital you would think they would have all the emergency equipment for tests that they need but they don’t ! And you will only be transferred if the doctor feels the need to do so! No discharge papers and you will be charged a fee because the health minister is running a scam with the bridge clinic GPS and you will be charged as seeing a after hours doctor! The doctors are GP doctors and not emergency doctors, do not expect emergency care at this hospital, I have presented myself to ED on 5 occasions and have been presented by ambulance on 6 occasions! With heart attack symptoms and seizures, I’ve been sent home and had more seizures, on one occasion I was turned away by a nurse who said they were busy and wait time was going to be long , I had chest pain , left arm pain , dizziness and neck pain , I went to the next town to a hospital were the Emergency doctor diagnosed me with angina!I should not have to travel half hour to the next town for emergency care! The same GP doctors at this hospital who work at bridge clinic were dismissive of my seizures, I felt so neglected that I went to see a GP in mount barker half hour drive to next town , we’re the GP care was friendly professional and thorough! My GP put me on seizure medication and I haven’t had a seizure for a month!I all so presented my daughter to this hospital in the emergency room wen she was 8 months old , they sent Her home , we traveled to qld the next day wen her body started to shut down! She had sepsis and is lucky to have survived! This hospital has a serious negligence problem! I don’t recommend this hospital, I believe this hospital needs a thorough health investigation and a upgrade on all staff ...however the birth care and maternity staff at this hospital are grate!

Absolutely disgusting… the one star rating is me being overly generous. I am saddened for patients and their family’s having to experience palliative/end of life care at this hospital. The nursing staff have no comprehension of compassion, empathy, and patient dignity; core qualities of nurses (apparently not here). Yes, I understand being a nurse is difficult within our current health care system, but that is no reason for the treatment my loved one and family received, especially at such a difficult time.
