Beautiful place to walk. Dogs allowed on lead. Plenty of wildlife. Jurassic covered area for kids which shows the fossils which were found in the park. Plenty of different sized walks to take. Toilets and water fountain near car park. Lots of tables and chairs + barbeque area at beginning of park and easily reachable from the car park.

[Pr] An oasis in the city centre. Incredible views next to the water towers opposite Murphy St. Praying peace over Ipswich.

Awesome place that has heaps of walking tracks that are easy to navigate. Can also bring children along as well.

Bit neglected tower lookout, locked up most days biggest look out in Ipswich and it locked and wen open an adult can just look over top of high fence that for kids can't look out ... Ipswich deserves a better look out..

Have been there a few times and it's nice for a short bush walk in town. The kids enjoyed Triassic park - was a quite nice little area with fossil replicas and a bit of dinosaurs information, but that's all gone now, and in its place some grassed areas, picnic tables and a playground. I really had hoped they would incorporate Triassic park into their new design - very disappointing.

We took our kids for a walk and play today for Father's Day. It was very nice and clean. Well presented park with plenty to do. The nature bush walks were lovely too - although some signage missing or needing to be put up to make the different tracks easier to navigate. We did Bluey's Circuit and Water fall. The waterfall circuit was able to be done with a pram despite the stairs as the stairs are very long and easy to pop the pram up each step.

Marvellous place to go for a brisk walk about 1 kilometre from Ipswich CBD ! In the past it’s had a variety of uses including a dump and cold mine. It’s been an environmental park since 1979 and group of local residents are rehabilitating it to its pristine conditionThere’s reminders of the mining past with bits of railway tracks and a coal mining heap. There’s fantastic views across to mt Crosby from Chelmsford avenue side! Unfortunately at the moment there’s no access up the water tower but ground viewing still provides good access across the city

No more Stegosaurus hut and the footprint of dinosaurs as this picnic area was in maintenance for some time but still good to do the Bluey Circuit that may be 300-400 metres long, an easy family walking trail.

Nice, shaded bitumen walking paths.Disappointed the water tower was closed for viewing. Plenty of bird calls, blue butterflies and at least one bitey horse fly.
