Nice and tranquil kayak towards Kawana. Got breezy on a few of the twists and turns, but a lovely morning paddle. Lots of birds, crabs, fish and stingrays to see along the way too.

Two of the parking areas off Kawana Way are 4wd access only. No map of the park at those entrances. Nearly run down by a motorcycle! Detracted from the ambience somewhat.

Favourite local walk. Very diverse flora across the walk. Very bush-like. Just beware of the snakes. If you are walking I have found they aren't a problem, because they keep out of the way, but if you are running or riding the snakes don't always move in time ( I almost stood on a red belly black on a run through here).

A rare slice of natural Sunshine coast habitat, with scribbly gum forest and soggy heath grasslands. Good bird life and great for a trail run if you don't mind getting wet, muddy feet.

Not many tall trees for shade, easy, short walk. No carpark, need to drive onto a rocky, dirt gravel track to get to the gate/entrance. No toilets. There is no river incase you'rewondering lol.

Such a shame that the trails are closed and no longer maintained.
