A historic and elegant park, very well maintained. Has lovely lawns and flower beds, and huge old fig trees surrounded by sub-tropical greenery. Enough seats for Bowen Hills workers at lunchtime.

A nice quiet retreat if you have had a stressful time at the RBH. Always clean and well maintained. A lovely green spot as other areas showing the stress of this ongoing dry period.

I walk through this park once or twice a day to get away from the hustle and bustle of the office. Lovely gazebo in the middle of the park and plenty of seating. Council is there regularly keeping it maintained. I've heard it's sketchy at night but I'm only ever here during daylight hours.

Bowen Park
A pretty little park which was once much bigger and has a fascinating history. It is named after Queensland's first governor, Sir George Ferguson Bowen. Its original extent has largely been gobbled up by the Exhibition grounds. Today it is a restful place for hospital visitors and a short cut for people going other places.
