Goosewing Cottage - Hunter Valley Accommodation

Goosewing will always hold the most special place in my heart. We eloped and it was the most magical experience. From the mini moon and staying in such a beautiful, peaceful and quiet part of the world. To the beautiful homestead, food hampers, fresh eggs and bread. Being surrounded by so many animals and being able to relax with my husband before our special day. Our elopement was perfect and everything we could of ever dreamed off. Steph and Daniel where amazing, everything ran so smoothly and all the vendors they had organised where amazing! A memory we will cherish forever!

We eloped at Goosewing and the team made it a perfect, relaxing, fun, and most importantly zero-stress day that we absolutely loved, thank you.We stayed in the beautifully rustic Homestead and had a private chef come to us on the wedding evening - we very highly recommend this.

We cannot express enough how much we loved our stay at Goosewing. We were lucky enough to have our wedding there and can't imagine a more perfect day. We originally planned to marry at Goosewing in 2020, and had to postpone it three times due to covid. Each postponement was sad, but Steph and Dan were amazing, supportive, flexible and made everything so incredibly easy for us every step of the way. Everything about Goosewing is so warm, easy and comfortable, and our day was magical. It was worth the wait for our perfect day!

Our elopement at Goosewing Cottage was the most amazing day of our lives and we cannot thank Stephanie and Daniel enough (And all the incredible Goosewing vendors!). Our wedding day was beyond everything we could have ever imagined. Stephanie and Daniel went above and beyond- they were approachable, organised, supportive and flexible and we cherished all the little details they went too. They made it such a stress free experience and such an easy process- and I think as a result we were able to soak in every moment of our day and just have fun! Honestly they make getting married an absolute breeze!Our guests also mentioned how warm and accommodating you all were and that they had such a fun time! We are so so grateful to you guys for making our day so special and we will forever cherish our memories at Goosewing!We cannot wait to come back and stay at the cottage for our first anniversary! I have photographed lots of elopements and small weddings at Goosewing Cottage and it is hands down, the best place to have an elopement anywhere.It is located in Mount View, up in the mountains and the landscape is nothing like you will see in the Hunter Valley. Dirt roads, cozy cabins and rolling hills filled with cows, horses and kangaroos .When you elope at Goosewing Cottage, the owners Steph and Dan so all the organising for you. They are amazing and work so hard to make each elopement special. Their elopement packages include everything you want. Hair & makeup, celebrant, photography, styling, flowers, cake and more. So all you need to do is choose what you want and then show up to get married.You can stay in the Homestead or the smaller Cottage, you have your wedding ceremony down by the dam with up to 20 of your closest friends and family. And then as the sun is setting, you can get some beautiful photos of the two of you together.As a wedding photographer, the photos you can get at Goosewing are pretty awesome. There are some beautiful spots around the property and the rolling hills and setting sun are perfect for wedding photos.If you are wanting to elope or have a small wedding, then I highly recommend that you check out this amazing place.

We got married at Goosewing Cottage on 10 December 2020 and it was perfect. We will be forever thankful to the wonderful Stephanie and her incredible team who made our day so memorable and added in so many thoughtful extra touches that made everything feel so special. The whole event ran seamlessly and I think it’s safe to say we had the most stress-free wedding ever (which is just what we wanted!). We were so glad to just be able to relax and enjoy our day with our closest relatives and friends. I cannot rate Goosewing Cottage and the entire wedding team highly enough… Stephanie was so, so helpful and responsive to all our questions and needs – she is a fantastic planner and a lovely person. Everything from hair and makeup, to decorations, flowers, the cake, the food and wine, the photography and videography, and the accommodation, was perfect. We stayed in the homestead for two nights and it was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with each other. Thank you so much for helping us have the best day ever! From Lani and Josh.

Best decision we made for our special day! Steph was super accommodating for anything I needed and always replied quickly. On the day Steph and Dan took the time to introduce themselves and go through everything with me and made everything easy and made me as relaxed as I could be.The property is very secluded and absolutely stunning!
