Bardwell Valley Parklands

This is an amazing gem in the city. The walking options are delightful. It feels safe and calm.Good way to walk through to Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre, or just go for a stroll.There are lots of interesting birds about. Definitely a lot beyond the usual pest birds plus ibises, magpies, and kookaburras. I saw some finches with red beaks and faces last time I visited.If you are looking for a bush regen and rubbish clean up area, this creek is a worthy candidate sadly. The Council have their work cut out for them here. It's still lovely, but the weeds and rubbish are a definite problem that could be tackled by a Streamwatch or other community centred approach.

It's okay - unfortunately the creek is just a bit littered. It's a small park but you can see some native birds here. Nice for a walk. It's not bad but not amazing, just an average park area.

There is a basic quaint cafe here that can celebrate kids birthdays but the real reason people come here is because of the exceptional kids playground. Two age appropriate (toddler / primary / high school friendly) flying foxes!! Fantastic
