Fagan Park
Fagan Park is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone in the Hornsby Shire area. This beautiful park covers a sprawling 55 hectares of lush undulating land and offers visitors a wide range of activities to enjoy. From walking trails and picnic areas to playgrounds and stunning gardens, there is truly something for everyone here. What makes Fagan Park truly special is its rich history and unique story. Once the private home of the Fagan family, this land was generously donated to the New South Wales State Government in 1980. Today, it is a testament to the Fagan family's commitment to preserving the natural beauty of this land and sharing it with the wider community. As soon as you enter the park, you are immediately struck by the stunning beauty of the landscape. From rolling hills to tranquil lakes and majestic gardens, there is no shortage of breathtaking scenery to take in. The walking trails are well-maintained and offer a great way to explore the park and take in the natural beauty. For families with children, the playgrounds are a highlight. They are spacious, safe, and offer a range of activities to keep kids entertained for hours. There are also plenty of picnic areas and BBQ facilities throughout the park, making it a great spot for a family day out.Overall, Fagan Park is a must-visit destination in the Hornsby Shire area. It is a beautiful and tranquil oasis that offers visitors a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with nature. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll through the gardens, a family picnic, or a fun day out with the kids, Fagan Park is the perfect destination.

Fagan Park
We came by for a walk after lunch since we were in the area. From the main parking area, don't forget to pay for a parking ticket before heading off.The playground is quite close to the carpark but we went a bit further and went towards the gardens. The park has such a large space of open space and the Garden on Many Nations is very interesting. There are multiple sections which are themed towards specific nations such as a Japanese Garden or a North American Garden. There is also an Australian garden/bush area. The Chinese garden was nice as it had a pagoda and bridges over the pond.We didn't stay the day but I would have liked to have had the time to wander the area and enjoy the unique outdoor space slowly. There is also the old Netherby homestead near the carpark. It is a small village area which has stopped in time. Aside from walking around the area, there are also a few shaded picnic spots as well as an eco-garden.I quite like being outdoor and this place is a really nice way to spend the day. I did come with friends in a car so I am unsure how easy it would be to get here by public transportation.

Fagan Park
A very relaxing location for a family or large group of friends picnic day out. Facilities and layout are great. BBQ, picnic sheds & tables, bins, water, toilets and a very large area to walk around to view the various park sections. Recommended

Great place for a family picnic, large running around areas. Picnic spots and great walk around the duck pond. Multiple gardens. Totally worth the 6 dollars price for whole day parking .

Fagan Park
Went on 21 May 2023, the leaves are in the midst of changing with a couple of trees just left with branches. We went around 3:30pm which felt could have been better if we went an hour earlier. The park is big, great for taking kids for a picnic or even a BBQ. Dogs are allowed on leashes also makes it a great day out! You do have to pay a flat fee of $6 for parking.

Fagan Park
This park is not a simple park for BBQ or entertainment. This has a special history and meanings of Fagan family, as well as, locals. When I first visited this park, it was just one of green, available across NSW. Then I started looking at further stories of the Fagan family; and finally realised great dedications local volunteers giving. Please try to visit homestead to understand this park and local history (Tuesday and ...); make sure you have gold coins or small notes (of course, larger note would be more welcomed) to donate when you visit homestead, please

I love coming here with my family for a walk through the gardens. You can also bring your bicycle for a ride. The place is huge, so it’s pretty cool. And if you are hungry, there is a barbecue place to cook your own food.
