Summerhill Waste Management Centre
The staff are nice, didn't have an issue with any of them at all. However the $45 fee to dump a broken clothes drawer was a definite shock. You also need enclosed shoes if you're going to leave your vehicle, which is fair enough. We however didn't know this at first, and we were told we needed to get some before dumping the drawer.

Efficient, professional and reliable. As far as waste tips go, this one is run as smooth as a baby’s bottom. I trust these fellas with my rubbish.

Half hour wait to dump some rubbish? They have stopped using the purpose built bays and now have you dump in a shed. Interactions with heavy vehicles and pedestrians is also a huge safety concern.

I was unable to dump my rubbish not only because of the excessive prices charged to dump rubbish I was willing to pay. I couldn’t dump my rubbish because I only had cash money. It’s hard to understand why people bump rubbish in the bush. One reason some people can’t afford it or can’t pay even if they want to.Cash is legal tender there should be no reason not to except cash as payment.

Very slow, very expensive, minimum fee is way to high considering they don’t do counsel pick up that often,Probably easier to break your waste up and slowly disperse it in the bin over time and just have stuff lay around then to waste your time here.how hard is it to run more then 1 weigh bridge, it’s the only tip around Newcastle and you charge an arm an a leg so you could not doubt afford it,

The most friendly and helpful staff at all points of the centre. The girl on the weigh station was a legend, a big smile and a laugh to make our day of moving and cleaning 10 times better. Thankyou!

Fantastic experience at the tip today. Which is a sentence I never thought I would say in my lifetime.Every step was easy to navigate and well organised. Big shout out to all the staff that were on today (23/06/23 - Between 2pm and 2:45pm). They were professional (as well as jovial), informative and courteous the whole time. Added bonus shout out to a bloke named Lyndsay in particular.Cheers!

Website and all signage says the center closes at 5pm, i rushed through near peak hour traffic to arrive at 4.50 to be told the last car through the door is 4.45 and that i should of read the signs or checked the website, which i did!!!How about the council spends our tax money and resources usefully for once and updates them. Would be helpful for the next person.
