Australia Post - Mount Eliza Post Shop

I received terrible service from this post office. My item was delivered to the wrong address so I had to pick it up from the post office. They would not give me my item because my id did not match the address. (I found this out later when we rang the sender). The sender said that what I needed to do was to provide a letter with proof of id and a signature. I also spoke to the 13 number for australia post and they also confirmed that a letter with id and a signature was the correct requirements. When I went to the post office the second time with the correct information they refused to even look at my letter. The told me that they would not hand over my package and they said they will send it back to sender and they won't give my my package. The staff in this postoffice would not provide me with any help or info as to how to help me. They were rude and abrupt and will not give me my item.

Always the best customer service. They try super hard and are really friendly. When they’re busy they always have all the counters open.

1 star for being closed on the weekend. I have to wait a week and a half to pick up a parcel because it was redirected to Mount Eliza post office. Had it been sent to kungyung LPO, I could go after 5pm on weekdays or on the weekend. But thanks to working 9-5 and having no one I can ask to sign on my behalf, I have to wait a week and a half from the date it arrived at Mount Eliza post office, until I’m able to go in and collect. I find it pretty surprising that Mount Eliza doesn’t offer any postal service needs on a Saturday morning, but Frankston and Mornington and Karingal do? Might be time to reassess after the pandemic, people!!!

Seriously need to revaluate their open hours, nothing more annoying than getting a missed delivery card, when you work 9-5 Monday-Friday.

Having visited this LPO for a number of years now, as well as having a PO Box, it's a well organized and operated branch. Staff have always been friendly and accomodating, parking always accessible and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes in queue.

Thank you for your great service & care last minute on a Saturday. Lovely staff here kindly helped me with a messy registered post delivery after the Kunyung LPO man had sold me a registered envelope but then lied to me about optional extra delivery services (which i needed) being cancelled.

I’ve lived in Mount Eliza all my life and have always HATED that this has to be local post office. What to expect: AWFUL, rude service from judgemental, unhelpful old women. Apparently they have to leave at 4:59pm every night to have their early nights sleep (old), because I intentionally left my work that I was rostered to finish at 5 early to deposit money (very quick and painless if done well) and was rudely refused service, being locked out even though there were people still people lining up to be served and it was well before 5:00. If only their speed of service held to their ridiculous standards for timing I would maybe put this awful, demeaning experience aside out of convenience.

every time I order something, they never delivery it. I always ensure that my front gate is open and that i'm home when i'm expecting a delivery but they never come.

Bad experience - went to sort out two passports and was told there was not the correct information and errors with the fill out forms. We did exactly what the lady Kim said and filled out the correct information only to be told again at a different post office that everything was still wrong. Considering this is already a tedious process we were very disappointed to have been told incorrect information and given false assurances. I would not recommend anyone use this post office for official documents u less they want to experience stress and frustration.
