Collie Golf Club

Played for the first time today. Note : bring cash because they have a unique green fee system. Details aside this is the best value for money course in WA. An old style course with generous fairways and gorgeous bush surroundings. We played on a Wednesday and were the only ones on the course. While the hole layouts are fairly standard the beauty of this gem are the greens. These are an absolute credit to whoever keeps them. Condition is absolutely amazing, ice rink is the best way to describe them. And to add to the speed, every green has a few surprises to keep you focused. If you pick the line and the speed its simple, if you miss then don't expect a tap in. Very impressed

I wish I took some photos but the day trip to collie was worth it. Great course with challenging tees especially on back 9. Lots of doglegs where driver could be too big and a lovely par 3 14th over trees set up a great day. Fairways in good nick and the greens are exceptional. Rolled true and had plenty of grab for chipping which surprised us all. Staff are very friendly and a very well presented 19th. Have to say it’s a bit of a hidden gem. We had the course pretty much to ourselves which is always a bonus. Hope to return in the near future.

Now open to the public. A very cheap friendly and refreshing round on one of the finest courses in the south west. The Roo's obligingly keep off the course during the day.
