Nice calm walk around the lagoon, although very sunny. Def bring a hat and water!! Only saw a few other mountain bikers around, but otherwise had the trails to ourselves. Two large brolgas and lots of smaller bird species to be seen.

Plenty of water around after the rains.. very pretty! The road in is gravel and corrugated, so a bit dusty but keeps the speed down! Quite a bit of bird life around mid-afternoon.

Brilliant spot to venture into the heart of nature only minutes from the city. An abundance of wildlife to explore and see, espcially for bird lovers.

This is such a special place so close to the city center. Great for birders, bush walkers and riders. This place comes alive at night with many herps and inverts to be found, but as with all wild places you need to take care. Some tips - take plenty of water, mozzie repellant, a hat and sunscreen. Take your rubbish with you and don't mess with the wildlife. This wetland/ hiking area needs to be preserved as it is for many future generations to enjoy.

Excellent mtb trails with great scenery. If you are having a fight with your SO its a good place to get away as there is limited mobile reception on the northern side.

Beautiful conservation park located a short drive from Townsville’s centre. We spotted a ton of bird life along the roadside and walking tracks including Brolga, Pheasant Coucals, Rainbow Bee-eaters, and also a few Agile Wallabies.

I decided to take my chair out to this location. Once I arrived I headed North bound toward the beach. Upon arrival at the beach I decided to throw said chair in the air and snap a quick photograph. As you can see the photo is attached to this review and depicts what I desire most in life. I quiet place to take a seat and be above the peasants on the ground. Sincerely, Hyper Dingle
