It was an awesome experience visiting the zoo and aquarium.W couldn't see monkeys that my daughter wanted to see and missed elephant, too.

I hadn't been to the Canberra Zoo in years, so i decided too check it out on Mothers Day with my daughter. I have to admit it was an awesome day and the recent updates and extra things/activities for the kids too do and read is awesome. The sun was shining and nearly all zoo animals were out and about or sunbaking. Then To finish the day with a meal from the Rhino bistro ( very well priced ) and a play at the kids adventure playground.Definitely recommend.

Had a great time; it was our first visit to this zoo. The animals all appeared very loved, and had huge enclosures with lots of places to hide and chill. Wallaby’s and emu was very happy in open area, peacock was a sudden encounter but he walked and stayed with us for some time without any trouble. I especially loved to see the beautiful rhinos, the ostriches, and cute red headed panda. White lions and tiger area is well maintained and a must see.Cafe/ gift shop was also really nice and not too expensive which was a relief. Aquarium was a bonus and we suggest if you can add more species.

We’ve been to zoos all over the world and none have topped the National Zoo, this place is beautiful and you really do get close encounters with the animals here. The grounds are gorgeous too. We stayed at Jamala a few years ago which was just incredible and visited again today to see that this zoo is just as amazing as it was then. We did the Cheetah encounter today and what a magical experience to be so close to the majestic Solo. Leah & Siobhan were wonderful guides and took some great photos for us too. Don’t visit Canberra without visiting this wonderful zoo!!

This is a very well organised zoo and aquarium and COVID safe. The animals were all very lively and the restaurant had amazing sandwiches. I would visit again.

Stayed at the Jamala lodge so checked out the zoo early morning on a weekday, love the size of the enclosures and the animals. Giraffes were amazing and loved the lllama and deer outside our door. Staff were all amazing

This place has the most variety of animals to see and the environment is clean and beautiful. Have been to Toronga Zoo, New Zoo in Western Sydney but this one has by far been the best to see. The aquarium however, is very small. Best day to visit the Zoo would be when the temperature is between 23~25C and before mid day so that the animals are out and about. Warm sunny days with the kids is a No No, it gets really hot and both the social animals and zoo animals find shade to rest in. Overall, an absolutely wonderful experience.

Amazing day out, we have a family membership which is great value. Perfect opportunity to get up close with the animals including the juvenile leopard. She is lots of fun and very playful with the kids.

Wonderful place to visit with little ones. We booked our tickets online. Getting here and parking wasn’t a hassle at all. They have ample space (car park 1- 4 ) to park heaps of vehicles. Car park 1 leads to mai entrance whereas the 4 leads to the rhino bistro.They have amazing range of animals, and interacting with them is pretty easy too. The zoo is well maintained and planned properly. Big space for kids to play is a bonus. One can easily have a picnic and enjoy the serene environment.Best of luck

I recently visited National Zoo & Aquarium in Canberra and it was a great experience! The animals were so well taken care of, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the grounds were very clean. We had a great time learning about the different species and seeing them in their habitats. It was an overall fun and educational experience - definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Canberra!
