A clean, open area that is a refreshing break from the usual smog and bushy depression of Canberra. The grass is usually bright green (despite water restrictions) and you can almost see from one end of the other when the smoke clears a little bit.I’ll see you there when the bushfires finally reach Canberra. We’ll have a picnic out on the grass.Great evacuation point, good for soccer games.

I'm fat. I don't hang out at playing fields. Just dropped the kids off to play. It was cold and foggy! Grass was green. What more can I say..

Little sense of place. Plenty of room and well-kept but only good for the players of team sports. No real facilities for families or spectators. Nice adjoining park across the concrete ditch of a creek. Long walk to Dickson shops so bring your bicycles Little shelter from sun or rain and, without bins, rubbish accumulates.

I go here to watch my grand-daughter play Pee-Wees. She loves it. If she's still playing in about 15 years time she may not enjoy it so much. The fields aren't in wonderful condition!

There's toliets, great grass coverage and athletic running markings/long jump facilities. It's also a location to run your dog off the leash as long as no organised sporting activities are running. The ground seems very firm though.

Wide open space located a short stroll away from the Dickson shops. Has limited parking thought there are plenty of street parking. No major facilities apart from several playing fields that support different sports throughout he year such as soccer and ultimate Frisbee. Not to be confused with the larger sports facility in Lyneham. This one is located on Antil Street, Dickson. If you're coming from Northbourne Avenue, you will need to do a U turn at the round about and the end of the street as there is no opportunity to do so where the playing fields are. There is a public toilet on site.

The Dickson district playing fields have affected my life positively. Ive played soccer, cricket and engaged in athletics there through school. I'm more often played rugby league when I was young. they the district playing fields a Don't have schedule for rugby league, Southwell Park is for rugby league among many other sports now as well. Without these playing fields that we are so blessed to have in our community we would be stripped of years of life experiences having fun together as friends, sports teams or school groups. The location is good but there isn't much sufficient parking. If it was better parking and had more organised sports played there I'd definitely give it 5 stars

Played soccer here before with friends, and overall the grounds were well kept. Great parking spaces and is also near the city and other major locations.
