They will give you the best quote but pay the extra and have your vehicle repaired elsewhere!!I took my Toyota Rav4 in for a complete look over and some repairs before driving it across Australia (after being serviced elsewhere but getting a much cheaper quote with these guys). I did ask them whether it was worth keeping, or selling and just flying across. They advised on keeping it.I had some repairs done (new radiator, rear diff bushes, lower control arms all replaced) They installed the new radiator and forgot the coolant temperature sensor so my fans were not working. Luckily 90% of my driving is country/highway driving so my car lasted a few weeks.I knew there was still something wrong as I was losing and could still smell coolant so took the car back 2 weeks after the initial repairs. I was told nothing is wrong, possibly an air pocket.I wasn't aware at the time but I must have had head gasket problems because on the morning we began our trip and I was checking all my fluid levels, I noticed stop leak on my radiator cap (which they had put in without informing me). They knew I had serious car problems and still thought it'd be ok to send me on a 5000km trip across the country. My car overheated at the end of Day 1 of the trip, as we slowed down pulling into town for the night, no fans to cool the engine after driving 400kms. It needs a new engine.

We were leaving town after the Xmas and New Years break with van in tow. Just out of town we had a warning light come on which ended up being a intercooler hose failure. Given it was New Years not much was open around town we found the team at DJP who managed to squeeze us in, id'd the problem and sourced the parts, did a service, replaced a stuffed battery and had us on the road the next day. Thanks heaps to Paula and the crew.

I'm not recommending there service as I found out by other mechanics the work was not complete ...I paid $1000 for one new shockie and was told nothing was replaced ...not happy and would never go again ...one mechanic was unpleasant also from my experience :(

Worst service from any mechanic I ever received. Made an appointment for 9 am, after a no show I phone only to be told that he would be there around 2 pm, only five hours late but so be it I thought. 4 pm rolls by still no show. Called to find out what’s going on, phone rang out. Absolutely atrocious and lacking in professionalism in the extreme

Got a transmission cooler installed and after 3 months I lost all my fluids one day when starting the car. I have taken the vehicle to 2 separate mechanics and they both said the job was the most unprofessional job they have ever seen. A proper cooling system is around $1500, My transmission is now playing up and no one is taking responsibility for it. I could be up for a rebuild which costs $7-8k. We are currently travelling Australia and now stuck in Townsville with no help!!

Took my Ute in for a service and timing belt change, not sure if the oil change was even done and they didn’t reset the service light, the car wasn’t test driven after the work was completed because as I went to turn out of the car park the timing belt squealed because it wasn’t tensioned properly, they also dented my tray and tried to polish out the scratches but were unsuccessful and left polish residue all over the tray they must have thought it would go unnoticed because when confronted about it they took full responsibility and from their explanation it seemed very frequent at their workshop which shows their lack of care for customers cars, I should have taken notice of the Reg flags upon entering the workshop it was absolutely filthy and I understand it won’t be spotless, the initial hand over of the keys was not professional and after having left the premises I even wondered I made the right choice leaving my car there I would not recommend taking your car to these people even if they were the only mechanic in ipswich will definitely never go back or recommend them to anyone and if they shut down they would be doing the community a favour

The worst fuel pump job.Parts were not reinstalled, some were lost. High pressure fuel line was damaged. Had to source another line hence more cost to me.My vehicle was not drivable for several months thanks to shoddy workmanship.I paid good money for a lousy job.KEEP HIM LOCKED UP.

Serviced my car and give it a full check over. Would not hesitate in recommending DPJ for your mechanical repairs at a very fair price
