Sapphire Coast Firewood

Wood was oversized with lots of dust and fibre. The delivery fee of $240 for a 4 ton load is totally unreasonable. And to top it off the delivery driver took no care and driving forward after delivery, with the truck bin raised ripped a significant branch of a specimen Himalayan pine. Very poor all round.

We bought 2 tonnes of mixed wood, it was not mixed it was all soft, it was so wet it is hissing in my fireplace. So I've paid a lot of money for water and green wood. We called them to let them know and got mansplained, sweared at, hung up on and told that the 2 tonnes was only ever an estimate anyway. Do NOT recommend this company for customer service or product value.

I got wood from these guys last year in about May, the wood didn't burn very well as it was mostly wet/green, and we mostly ran the heater the make up for it. The fire would be hot and going only to fizzle out to nothing when putting a new bit on that was likely not seasoned. The wood burnt well this year, but the fact they charge for green wood, means I was overcharged and probably only got about 80% of the weight I had paid for after I left it to season myself, other places sell wet wood in late spring/early summer for much cheaper for this purpose, yet these guys are trying to sell it as seasoned wood. I would avoid them and look for a more honest place that sells properly seasoned wood.

Friendly staff, but wood is green and smells like wet dog. If you don't have time to season and wood to burn immediately probably best to see what else is around first.

The staff at Sapphire Coast firewood were very helpful. I will be returning to them for firewood tomorrow. Also reasonably priced. I will be picking up a load it my trailer.

Absolutely terrible wood, this last lot we got was still so wet it was sizzling when we finally did manage to get it going. We needed a lot of other wood from somewhere else to even get it to burn. Don't buy wood from here!

They are nice, friendly people and at $0.32 a kg you can't ask for much more.Of course the wood can be wet, it's kept outside but it burns in a log burner for a couple of hours.

Got 3 tons delivered. It's very old and soft, dosen't burn well and smells bad when burnt. I won't use them again
