We had our wedding at Yarra Valley Estate last weekend. The venue is absolutely breath taking, the accommodation was clean and had everything we needed. The open air chapel is so stunning. We stayed onsite with our bridal party for 2 days and all our other guests because they have 48 rooms!! The drinks selection and food was amazing, can’t thank you all enough, Courtney, Ruth, Katrina, Tim, you guys know what’s your doing.. thank you for making our special day perfect.

If you don't mind being lectured at about the virtue-signalling variety of sustainability by po-faced staff, while receiving only a grudging apology for the intermittent (or at times, non-existent) conference-room WiFi, this could be the venue for your next corporate event. (Bonus: the conference room we used has both an iron/ironing board, and a street library, amply stocked with Lee Child, Kathy Reichs and James Patterson titles.)The food is of variable quality. When booking the venue weeks in advance, our group was assured that dietary requirements would be accommodated. We had Halal, Gluten-free (Celiac) and Vegetarian guests. Despite the advance notice, kitchen staff seemed (variously, depending on whether it was lunch or dinner) surprised, alarmed, and/or downright offended that we dare to confirm that dietary requirements were catered for. However, the morning and afternoon teas were delicious, and gluten-free options were offered. There are numerous coffee pod machine, stocked with cups that are composted and made into mulch for the Edible Forest. As boasted on the venue website, some of the food is sourced from the on-site Edible Forest, which on the occasion I attended appeared to be producing an abundance of asparagus. The setting is lovely, with much flora and fauna, and various grassy areas. (Urban-dwellers, don't despair -- you can hear trucks barrelling down the Melba Highway from outside the Dining Area, which is also the best place to stand for mobile phone reception). The hallway of the Falcon block is decorated with carefully-shot, canvas-printed photographs of wildlife personalities from the on-site wildlife rehabilitation facility. These creatures have endearing names -- for example, 'Bash' the wombat. The rooms themselves are somewhat dated in decor and facilities, and lack televisions. (At least, those in the Falcon block do). They do have reverse-cycle air conditioners, that come with helpful instructions pasted to the wall. These, as well as including a guide to the remote control buttons, bear the helpful advice 'Your choice - save it or waste it' (presumably referring to electricity, though this is not specified). There is an on-site pool, not mentioned on the website. When I visited, in December 2022, it was unclear whether the pool was open. When staff were asked this question, they grimaced and muttered something inaudible. There are many staff tending the extensive grounds. I noted that one included the polite bartender, who was raking leaves the morning after his bar shift.Patrons you may encounter, should you happen to visit on a weekday, may include elderly amateur pilots availing themselves of the on-site airstrip; or staff of a Christian charity performing a blindfolded trust exercise on the lawn. The other reviews of this venue are mostly about its wedding-hosting offerings and for these it seems that customers are satisfied. For corporate events, I would suggest that there are ample other venues in the area that bear consideration.

Came here for a wedding. It’s a wonderful venue for a wedding and reception. Lovely garden area with a nice open “chapel” area. The reception was held in a lovely indoor area. All the food was excellent with the exception of the appetizers which were rather prosaic. The rest was fantastic. The staff were particularly good at the reception. A lovely bunch of very hardworking people. The accommodation here is very 80s and rather tired and it needs a lift. It all works but a reno soon would be a good idea.

We had to postpone our wedding twice since 2020 (covid). We finally got married recently at YVE with around 60 guests staying onsite and everything went so smoothly. Kelly and the team are so helpful and professional, and it meant we had the most worry-free, amazing day. Really couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

We had our wedding at YVE. Yarra Valley Estate was amazing! If you love the nature feel this is the place for you! YVE has so many options for a ceremony (and wet weather options as well). Ours was the open air chapel which was stunning and as we wanted a rustic feel we kept the reception minimalistic.Lilly, Katrina and the team were fantastic. They were so helpful to organise multiple site visits and meetings when lockdown allowed. When lockdown was occurring they tried to answer all questions through calls or emails. On the day, everything ran seamlessly. The girls did such a great job and the food was beautiful. We had guests who required extra assistance and the team was so wonderful, looking after them and making sure they had everything they needed. We accidentally had a vase who had jumped off the table and the girls quickly and quietly cleaned up the mess to minimise interruptions to speeches.I cannot thank them enough! Highly highly recommend!** All photo credit goes to Glen Nicholls Photography**

This is a really good place to hold conferences. The fact it is a little way out of town forces the group to stay together and talk about ideas from the day's activities. The kitchen produces amazing food, grown in their own gardens. The place promotes self sustainability. The bar is adequate and well priced. There is a lot to keep entertained after hours, with a pool table, gym, wildlife shelter, and an oval to jog around near the runway. The conference rooms are large and private, without distractions, to promote a good learning or discussion opportunity.

From the moment we first saw YVE and the stunning location we knew it was perfect for our day. Not only were the views spectacular but the staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect. From checking in on us throughout the day, to looking after all our guests and helping with things such as collecting the cards for the wishing well, the staff we’re sensational! The food was also of great quality and everyone enjoyed it. I had many family members and friends commenting on how great the venue and staff were and will absolutely be recommending you to any future wedding couples. Thank you for everything!

We went on a tour of the edible forest and it was amazing. Louise the owner and Dale the head gardener talked about the development of the site and were very knowledgeable. I went away with lots of ideas.
