Wonderfully peaceful place with different bird sightings on each visit. I was thrilled on my recent visit last week to see a Spoonbill for the first time. I would recommend keeping to the paths though. During my visit in September I took a couple of steps onto the grass and almost trod on a red bellied black snake. Fortunately my 7 years old grandson spotted it before I put my foot down.

Very peaceful, quiet area right by the river. A lot of cultural significance for the Wiradjuri people. Various informative signs, audio playbacks and beautiful paintings on display. There's a deck you can walk up to get a better aerial view of the ponds (be careful, we got attacked by a wasp nest there Mar 23). There's also a bird watching hut with detailed illustrations of all the different birds you might see in the area. Area looks well maintained, there was no litter around and the grass is slashed regularly in the areas of interest. We parked near the river boat ramp and walked about 400m to get to the wetlands, but there is a carpark right next to the wetlands if you don't want to do the walk. Toilets, drinking water, benches and even a bike repair station is available on site.

Went on a guided tour. The sanctuary is a quiet oasis to be" and observe. I would recommend it as a place to visit. When I come back to Wagga

Sadly, looks rather neglected, not just by humans but also by the birdlife. Terrible smell of rotting matter near the car park on a warm day. Could be great with some loving tender care.

Awesome place near to the city centre. The wetland is a resting place for different types of birds, from the local ones to the migrating guests. Ten minutes walk from the boat ramp car park through the bush is refreshing. The path is even and well maintained. The viewing deck helps to get clear view of the sarrounding areas.

A great natural setting with well maintained paths for a very easy wander or ride. Some bird hides and an elevated viewing platform across the wetlands with some excellent opportunities for wildlife observations, with plenty of potential bird species as well as other wildlife. Some lovely indigenous artwork, and interpretive signage and recordings. Definitely worth a look

Great informative walking track. Not too fond of the water waste facility being right next to the wetlands (smelt).

Marrambidya Wetland
It is a 20 hectares recreational wetland area created in 2015 from disused sewerage treatment ponds. The site has heritage and historical significance from the Wiradjuri people. The premises has a walking track leading to Gobba beach and Wiradjuri reserve both sites consisting of aboriginal heritage importance. Along the way there are beautiful art works worth witnessing and a story telling both worth spending time on.
