Focus on Furniture

Pretty poor experience. Went into store and bought a king bed frame, and paid for delivery and installation to be co-ordinated on the day we moved into our new place. On the day, delivery drivers called to say they couldn’t fit down the driveway and they’d have to return bed frame to warehouse and arrange for new delivery during the week. Multiple trucks from different businesses fit down driveway on the same day, so not sure if they had somewhere else to be or couldn’t be bothered with the installation.Spoke to the store, fobbed me off for 3 days and then eventually said they wouldn’t be able to arrange delivery for another week. Ridiculously bad comms.Pregnant wife sleeping on mattress on floor for a few days. Cancelled the order (they did nothing to try keep the business) and I scrapped plans to buy big sofa and dining table from that store. Ended up getting a king bed next door from Bed Shed at higher price but worth it due to the excellent customer service- they arranged special express delivery due to the pregnant wife.Focus On was a disaster.

Bought a sofa a little over a year ago. The quality is so bad, the cushions have worn away making them nearly unbareable to sit on. I've bought a lot cheaper sofas that have held out a lot better. Called them up as I'm still in Warranty and sent a tech out. He just said it was my fault for sitting on the sofa incorrectly. They said I have to pay for fixing their bad sofa.

Excellent furniture store. We purchased our brand new couch from here and they allowed us to pay it off while it was being made and while we were waiting for our house to be built. After visiting many other furniture stores, this was the only one where we found the perfect couch for us. It was a little bit pricey compared to some others but the quality, design and comfort speaks for itself. We would highly recommend Focus on Furniture.

We were extremely happy with Focus on Furniture Moorabin. We walked in and had a look around and a lovely staff member called Amelia approached us. She answered all our questions and helped us set up an order and delivery. She was very knowledge and genuine. The store had very good energy. Which is hard to achieve in a big place like a furniture store. We felt very at ease. We booked a day and time and a week prior (as per promised) the store contacted us to follow up and confirm our day and time. They were even able to change it at later notice as per our request. The couches look amazing and they are so comfortable. The delivery men who delivered them were also very friendly, punctual and efficient. We would recommend this company / this store to everyone. Don't let some odd / off reviews deter you from amazing staff, gorgeous and well priced quality furniture.

A great buying experience with Anne-Marie in store. Took the time to let us find the right couch and then provided clear timelines on delivery. Kept updated throughout and delivery service was explained and executed the way as it was described.

My sister-in-law received a new lounge from this company in Moorabbin this morning. unfortunately, she is on the spectrum and her carer was not available to be with her when her lounge was delivered. upon delivery, the delivery people told her that she would have to pay an additional $100 for them to take the cardboard box that the lounge was wrapped in. this is appalling customer service and high-way robbery - taking advantage of people. i spoke with the manager of the store in Moorabbin who told me that the $100 was the company's policy. What a disgrace!! i recommend no-one go near this place. I'm voting with my feet.

Was served by Annie in Moorabin. She was extremely helpful. Went above and beyond to help us find chairs to match tables and our sofa. Really positive experience and I've left contemplating buying more from here.Very reasonable pricing for the quality.

I purchased the top of range a MyZone Grandeur queen sized (medium) mattress. Whilst the mattress looks great, it has no integrity. It sags at the edges so you feel like you are falling out of bed. It feels like you are sleeping on a pile of laundry and offers no body support. Far from the grandeur feeling I was anticipating . I have never woken up feeling like my legs are paralyzed after a night’s sleep. The mattress is so heavy, I am not sure how one can change the sheets on it on their own. I would not recommend this product.

I required a new dining table and chairs for my 70th birthday party at home, and had researched what was on offer in my price range. Focus on Furniture had the design I loved, so wanting to take advantage of the Black Friday Sale I waited until 31st December to place my order. Unfortunately, the table was not in the warehouse, and that would have meant I would not receive it until after my birthday. I was quite upset at this outcome, but Anne-Marie at Moorabbin jumped into action, and managed to find the only existing table in another state. She liaised with the store and the person who had been allocated the table agreed to let me have it first! The table and chairs were delivered efficiently on the Friday before my party. I was over the moon. And so grateful to the delightful Annie! What a star!
