Yasaka Japanese Dining

First time being there tonight and my partner and I loved it! Thank goodness we made a reservation cause it started to get packed so booking in advance is highly recommended.I’m Japanese and could be picky and somewhat judgemental when it comes to Japanese food. But I was not disappointed! If you ask me if it was authentic? Well, I would say no but it was so well arranged and very artistic also. It’s a BYO spot. There are a few parking spots at front for dinner time. This place also does lunch so we are definitely trying that next!

I agree with the more recent reviews. Between the two of us we spent $80 for 5 dishes and we were still hungry. They forgot our salmon nigiri but we were so disappointed with their small, sorry, tiny portions brought out to us, we told them to forget about it. I have never been so disappointed with a Japanese restaurant and we will never return.

Lovely surprise find with delicious Japanese food on the Central Coast. We especially loved the Sweet Miso Eggplant and Kale Tempura Chips!

I had a fantastic lunch. The lunch special was extremely tasty, and we also got some vege tempura on the side. Very authentic and sophisticated Japanese food. It is rare to find Japanese food at this standard, on the Central Coast.The portions are very generous. The fish was fresh and delicious. The tempura was light and crispy. I very much enjoyed my meal and plan to go back regularly. If I can't travel to Japan during Covid, then this is the next best thing.

Menu is very limited but the food was good. The sushi is fresh but I find it a bit expensive for 10 pieces of nigiri for $39.90. We ordered 3 dishes and it was $36pp. We left feeling hungry.

Very nice twist on traditional japanese food. Food is fresh, well presented, and very high quality. Restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere but is quite small so make sure you book.

I feel like the reviews on this place are no longer accurate as this Japanese restaurant is not good.We ordered a large assortment of nigiri which costs $40 and only 10 pieces of nigiri came out, not large at all. Although the fish was decent, the nigiri rice was not cooked well resulting in a grainy texture in your mouth. The assortment" was extremely limited as it was only 2 types of fish.The pork gyozas had no flavour

Surprise!!!We ordered sashimi large size. $39.95 Not the same on the photos ppl uploaded at all.!Pathetic 15 pieces and 2 types only!!! No scallop. Completely ripped off! Not recommended!Teriyaki chicken only 5 pieces!Yasaka roll: inner salmon was very chewy, they used whatever left over to stuff into the roll.Vegetable tempura: NO eggplants NO green beans!!! 7 pieces $18.9! Thanks!Kids meal, missing salads and sweet potato!The rolls are full of rice!Surprise how this restaurant survived!If it’s in Sydney will close down in no time.Definitely not recommend for anyone!Will not come back.

Had a great night trying out our new local Japanese Resto. All the dishes are very well balanced and full of flavour. Already booked our next visit!!
