this restaurant projects the hospitality of Filipinos. anyone is greeted warmly by the staff.serving size is great, most food are good for two (sharing). my only issue is that, the food is more from northern cuisine which could be different from what I am used to.. an acquired taste to some and maybe different to those who comes from the southern island.the pork adobo is prepared similar with what we normally cook “beef steak”.. an authentic adobo consist of using the following ingredients: soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper corn, bay leaf, garlic, onion (optional), sugar.. can be cooked dry (sauce sticks to the meat) or wet (sauce or gravy is more runny). whatever is on the menu, I brought it home and upgraded and made my own version.the food isn’t bad for those who haven’t tried Filipino cuisine. For those who grew up for more than 16 years of solid home cooked food, I can perfectly say if the food is great based on the aroma and taste.. I have always picture my mom cooking in every meal.. if the food reminds me of the childhood memories I would say, the food is an authentic Filipino food. I grew up eating street food aka carenderia, these are tiny restaurant or stalls that are basically home cooked but doesn’t have a proper set up like that of fine dining but the food are always freshly cooked since they are the all the favourite and are always sold out.i would still recommend anyone to try this shop. Perhaps my taste isn’t at par to your taste.. I would still come back to this shop perhaps in the future.

The dining hall was actually pleasant upon entering you will be greeted right away by one of their staff. When we got there the place have a couple of tables occupied which i was hoping as a good sign. However being a filipino one thing i noticed is that people where a bit quiet which is not a norm for gatherings. The hostess was almost missing as she was going out to find change for the other customers ready to pay. Btw they didnt have card payment as according to 1 staff internet was disconnected. Another table has walked out to to order not being taken on time. There is one staff who does quite alot from order taking to cooking to bussing out to taking payment and also a shield for orders not available .Serving size is generous but dont be taken by it. I might as well have bought instant pancit canton as it is bland and off of what you have to expect.Originally we ordered karekare, pancit and crispy pata. And here we go, staff approached that karekare is not available as some ingredients are not available so we opted to change to bicol express funny thing is when we received the bicol express order everything in it is the exact ingredients for karekare and not bicolexpress except for they dump a coconut mix. So i guess instant karekare mix is out of stock. Its not even seasoned or scicy as what you would have expect.Pancit is also amiss, looks and taste like noodles with a few veggies a 3 pcs of crab balls or stick and soysauce. Really disappointing. Did not even hint a taste of sauteed onion and garlic.Only thing eatable was the crispy pata, after all what can go wrong in simply frying a piece of meat. The place was really sad. I was able to talk much after having 1st bite of everything probly why most of the diners where quite. A waste of money considering it wasnt cheap for 3 dishes at almost 120 aud.

I came here for lunch with my husband on Labour Day public holiday with an EatClub offer. We were quite excited and keen to try the food as we had been looking at the menu for a while before visiting.Upon entering, there was only 1 waitress running the restaurant on her own as it was incredibly quiet for a public holiday. We ordered:• The stuffed chicken wings• Garlic rice• SisigThe stuffed chicken wings and garlic were delicious but the Sisig was a real let down. The presentation was good but that’s where it ended. The overall dish lacked flavour and body, leaving it to be quite a bland dish. We squeezed the wedges of lemon and added pepper to the dish but it did very little to elevate the dish. It was when my husband added the remaining fish sauce from the chicken wings that made the Sisig taste somewhat bearable. We were seated right in front of a small stage in the restaurant. This stage is raised and a trip hazard as inevitably, I tripped when walking past. The waitress did not care nor asked if I was ok even though a nearby group sitting near us heard and saw that I tripped.I asked the waitress for the menu in order to order dessert and informed her we were finished. She proceeded to clean the empty tables behind us rather than our table in preparation for dessert and did not come around to ask us what we’d like for dessert. When I tried to order the leche flan for dessert, I was informed it wasn’t available. What a letdown. It was enough for us to leave to have dessert elsewhere. The EatClub payment was also very unclear for the same waitress who didn’t appear to know how it worked even though I explained I had to pay by EFTPOS. She had to speak to the chef in the kitchen about this even though after she returned, I told her the same thing again about paying by EFTPOS.It was evident the waitress had some language barriers as well and often spoke Tagalog to us even though we are not Filipino nor speak the language. The overall service experience was extremely disappointing, with that waitress needing more training in how to service customers and process payments more confidently and efficiently. The ambience of the restaurant feels like you’ve walked into someone’s home and not a professional restaurant. It’s a very homely restaurant with very kitschy decor of fake roses on the tables, island leaves and plenty of fridges and glass cabinets displaying other food items. The floor leading to the bathrooms and in the bathrooms were slippery and slick due to all the oils from the kitchen settling into the floor. It’s such a hazard. This home-run restaurant could definitely do with a huge improvement on its presentation, cleanliness, service and taste of its dishes.

We came here for lunch, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The hostess was lovely and welcoming. She informed us that the mains are quite large and designed to share as that is the Filipino way. We ordered the lupia, sisig and some rice. The sisig looked and smelled amazing. It was a bit weird that the chilli's were just dropped on top whole rather than chopping them up. It tasted ok but if it had chopped up chilli in it might be tastier. And the serving size wasn't particularly big so it would have been good if we ordered a 2nd main. Overall it was ok

DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE,If you want to get ripped off and overcharged, it’s the worst Filipino restaurant in Sydney. I feel ashamed to be Filipino going here. I didn’t even bother asking for water because it would take half an hour. They charged me the incorrect amount upon looking at the menu afterwards but I’m not going back to that place ever again.Didn’t tell us it was cash only until right at the end. So of course we had to get cash out at an ATM.Only one chef, one server on a SATURDAY NIGHT? After an eels game?$73 for Lumpia, Pancit and Adobo? We got wrongly charged, I believe that’s illegal? This is the worst restaurant in Sydney. If this place has any decency left, i should receive a refund.

OVER PRICED. Less than average taste. not good customer service. There was only one server in the hall. She was friendly at the first time but since the restaurant became busier, the service got worse. We ordered three deserts for four people. The staff gave us only one spoon and two knives for deserts. Asked for four spoons and forks but the staff showed unhappy face and gave us only one spoon. WHAT..???? We paid over $170. It was not worth to have this food quality and service. Will never go again. VERY DISAPPOINTING.Banana fries desert was good though.

The food was not very nice. We ordered our food and then 10 minutes later they came back and told me that one of the items I ordered they didn’t have I re-ordered. They came back another 10 minutes later and said that they had ran out of what my wife had ordered as well when we finally got home the oil was all through the bag and I did not eat my meal. My wife ate her meal and said that it had no taste. Unfortunately guys, I think my wife could do a better job.

Took some friends from work to have a belated celebratory dinner and the food was really good. Between the 5 of us we had:- Garlic Fried Rice- Pork Adobo- Lemongrass Chicken- Chicken AfritadaAll the food was really fresh and the Lemongrass Chicken was not only fragrant, but tasty too. Really nice home cooked style food. They had good serving sizes for sharing and it was nice to see that they had lots of protein options: seafood, chicken, pork and beef. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it’s well worth it. While there was only one server and one chef, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our group left happy and full. Would definitely go back to try other menu options - including dessert.
