What an awful school, do not send your kids to this school. The school makes it clear they do not care about their students.

Great teaching and learning environment, although could be improved. The school Is more focused on reputation than students, in elementary years you don’t really learn anything at all your only reviewing what you have learnt which is mostly from off campus learning and parent given homework. I understand this is just getting to know what level the student is at for their learning but as soon as they graduate from elementary they are most likely to struggle catching up to senior standards due to the lack of education in previous grades, in conclusion I wouldn’t recommend going here but it’s honestly your choice thanks for listening to my opinion and if the school is seeing this I just wish you would put my statements into consideration. By the way the school should try to add a second exit / entrance to stop traffic at the round about at the wheelers hill campus.

I have nothing against anything about this school except Ms. Thomson. Once we bumped into each other and I apologized to her, but she was furious and described me as “incredibly rude” and threatened me not to bump into her ever again. I tried to explain to her I didn’t do it on purpose but she responded: “I don’t care.” .She made it seem like it’s all my fault that we bumped into each other. That was very hurtful for me and I was so upset for the rest of the year. I even had suicide thoughts because of that. Fortunately I felt better after talking to my friends and parents. I have never in my life encountered any teacher who is so cruel and heartless. I forgive her and I pray for her because if she continues treating people like that she will eventually bring misfortune to herself, but I can never forget the trauma she inflicted on me for the rest of my life.

When looking at a private school with annual fees in the $25k-$30k range you are normally comparing only a handful of similar education options - although it has also been suggested that a similar result might be achieved via a decent public school and paying for multiple tutors and enrolling in many extracurricular activities (you might need to relocate you home address into a popular school zone).Caulfield Grammar offers a traditional style of education (versus Montessori or Steiner) with the addition of Sports, Arts facilities and additional campuses in Nanjing China and Yarra Junction designed to complement classroom education with real world and outdoor scenarios. As a parent of two children who attended CGS from years 7 through 12 I can say that we appreciated the extent of effort put into not just the education aspects but also the pastoral care, community spirit and experiences / challenges in the outside world. As an employer who has interview graduates from many high schools both public and private I would say that CGS graduates tend to be well rounded (perhaps even street smart) with reasonable to better than average communication skills, which makes them adaptable to a range of careers. The school ethos, which is instilled in each child, is not that they are privileged or “better than others” but that they are a small part of a wider community.Religious and ethnic backgrounds are relatively disbursed with Chinese, Indian and other backgrounds (compared to other private schools) relatively well represented and welcomed. Religious backgrounds amongst the students are varied with Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim etc backgrounds in each class being the norm.

Hi caulfield. as a fellow student, i would like to complain about the obscene quality of your staff and facilities. I went to use the bathroom to realise that there was no lock on the door and i was bombarded by teachers as i had skipped many classes. The staff at this school are completely ignorant towards me and my peers learning and when i was playing outside a prefect offered me hard crack. I am reporting this issue to google in hopes that it will not occur again. i would also like to complain about the raging ebola epidemic that has taken a dire toll on the school. this school has not fostered healthy children and i rate it a 1.

Great school and much improved facilities now due to the donations of many people and the financial planning of its school council. The musical learning and dramatic arts were its strength when i was there in the 1970s and 80s ; also the school farm YJ was wonderful.

I am ashamed to be known as a former Caulfield Grammarian over the school's disgraceful insult to Mack Horton and its total lack of integrity. Regardless of the outcome of the doping allegations and the brave stand taken by Mack behind their decision not to name the new swimming centre after him they have displayed to the world a disgusting and abhorrent attitude to one of the school’s highest achieving, most principled and bravest students. Mack Horton; sold for 30 pieces of silver.
