Great place to break your trip, very clean toilets, inside they have plenty of choices of food. Just before Gympie travelling from Brisbane. Easy to miss it but keep on eye on it.

The statue is quite large from the common wealth games.The real attraction is the nice park and food options for a long road trip

Ultra daggy cultural memorobilia for those in their late 50s early 60s from Joh's brizneyland, recalling corruption, cops, marches, punk and lots of big stuff kitch... a must for all those who were or knew a little brown joey who squashed in and ran out of the mechanical pouch in the opening ceremony.

It's a statue of Matilda! Yay!Truth of the matter: a great place to stop and take a load off mid-roadtrip. Statue is a nice feature, with a plaque detailing its history. A good deal of grassy space, bbqs and setup for pit-stop picnics, and a park for the kiddies too. Also toilet facilities that are well maintained.

A giant kangaroo used in the commonwealth games in the 80’s. Another of Australia’s “big things” if your searching. Good condition.

Statue was well maintained.The park and toilet facilities weren't great. Good for a stopover during drive though.

So nice to see Matilda repaired and on display. I last stood in front of Matilda on my honeymoon 36 years ago :)

What a great rest area! Highly recommend stopping here on your travels with picnic tables, toilets and caravan parking with easy access in and out all in a separate area to the service station!
