Routleys Bakery

This is the worst service I have ever had from a Routleys store.It was about 1.45pm when I came in to grab a sandwich, there were threegirls behind the counter totally not interested in me or what I wanted.They were too busy chatting between themselves, one standing at the counter picking her nails. I paid for my goods and she nearly forgot to give me my sandwich. Still the three were chatting. It was like their day was overand they had nothing to do.I won't be back to that store ever.

Went here for a salad sandwhich on our way back to Melbourne.. its 2.30 and they close at 4. All ingredients are in the front counter and they can't make it. I'm sorry... you have the ingredients right there but you can't make it... NO. Are you kidding me? Such bad service. You get better service at Mcdonalds I'm surprised you have any business at all.

Best pie I've ever eaten.

Was looking forward in trying all the ones that the previous commenters recommends (green Thai curry and Cornish pastie) but by 1pm they had run out! We enjoyed the Pepper steak pie. Very efficient ladies who serves

I enjoyed a deliciously fresh chicken and salad roll, and a superb latte at Routleys Bakery, Torquay today (Sunday 09/02/2020). The staff were very friendly and attentive. Thank You!! I look forward to my next visit!!

Friendly service, good prices, and affordable. Nice variety of pies, sausage rolls, and other food. Sausage roll prices were around $4.40, and Pies from Memory was about $5.80. Nice coffee also. Adequate staffing for the store aswell, which meant multiple people getting served at one time. Can get quite busy from what I seen. So be patient when waiting to be served.

Popped in to grab some lunch today at the Gilbert st Torquay store. The girl behind the counter was lovely and friendly. Fast service. Reasonably priced. My husband had a sausage roll and I had the steak pepper pie both were extremely yummy. And we ended up buying a four pack of the jelly slices and caramel slices for afternoon tea and for our journey home tomorrow. They look very can't wait to try them.

Stopped for a quick Cobb’s Pie for morning tea, absolutely delicious, so fresh and just melts in your mouth

Good selection of pies.Giving a four as they decided not to put out any tables for customer to sit on, which is hard on the elderly as the only option was an alley way that was cold and dark.

My boyfriend and I arrived to the bakery at 15:00. When we walked in the staff on were washing the floors and stacking the chairs on the table as if they were packing up too close even though they had 2 hours left before they closed. There was no fresh salad rolls and we asked if there was any chance they could make us some. To which they said “no sorry we’re exhausted we’ve had a busy day because it’s just been the two of us on”. We asked what time they stopped making salad rolls at. The girl behind the counter checked her watch and said about 14:30. We were quite surprised as they still had 2 hours left until they closed and we were the only customers in the shop.The toaster was already turned off. We were very confused considering it was only 3pm. This seems to be a regular occurrence for this particular bakery. Therefore we will go to Bells street bakery from now on as the staff there are very friendly and the service is great.
