Very disappointed with this place, we drove one hour to eat here as a result of hearing good things however we didn’t even end up getting our main. We had already waited 45min since entree only to then be told our order for the rib-eye to share had been put through incorrectly as fish instead (not even sure why the fish took that long?) Our waitress was new hence we had confirmed with her multiple times that she understood our order but clearly not and tried to even cover up that she had missed the order and said it would be only 15min more. When the managing waitress finally came to tell us it would be another 45min for the rib-eye we decided to leave but then nothing was offered by the venue to compensate for their mistake. Extremely disappointed with the service and the entree that we did have did not reflect the pricing.

Initially wanted to book in at Wickens, but there was no availability when we were down in the Grampians (from sydney initially). But hearing that the Parker Street Project also has the same farm to table motto (with alot of menu items grown on site) I was excited to try it out.The food was exceptional, far better than many restaurants in sydney CBD - I'm surprised it wasnt awarded a good food hat this year. It definitely has more of a causal vibe but can not complain!Stand-out dishes- Royal Mail Lamb- Rib eye to share (takes 1 hour to cook but well worth it - just get your entrees first and then all the mains sent at once)- Tartare- Bread with whipped butter/vegemite- Kangeroo pastry (entree)You can tell that most of the produce is grown on site - the tomato and cucumber salad was exceptional, i have never tasted a yummier cucumber.

One of those never-to-be-forgotten dining experiences. Despite the challenges of the pandemic conditions the chef and staff produced a fabulously original menu perfect for after a day of walking to the top of the Grampians. As for the purple cocktail with the lavender floating on top… not sure if it was legal!

Was pretty underwhelmed with this place. First impressions weren't the best as we weren't exactly welcomed when we approached the bar to be seated, the gentleman behind the bar didn't speak to us and put the menus on the table and walked off, luckily the other staff were lovely though! The food was a let down and probably a touch above pub food quality which would have been fine if the prices weren't so expensive! The flavours were pretty lack luster and didn't exactly excite me or my partner, the artichoke dish was about the only thing we really enjoyed. We were expecting a lot more as we've heard amazing things about this place and drove an hour from where we were staying to give it a go. I'll be back but only to try Wickens and hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

An absolute delight! We had heard a lot about the Royal Mail Hotel so when we knew we were in the area we made a booking. We weren't able to get into Wickens as it wasn't open the nights we were there but we were not disappointed after our visit to Parker Street. The dishes are so different from what you normally see on a menu and while we only tried a few will certainly return to try more. Absolutely loved the way the emphasis was on the kitchen garden and all meals were prepared to perfection. Highly recommend the broccoli steak if it is on the menu. While not a budget dining experience, it is not over priced. Service was very good.

Lovely upscale bistro atmosphere and excellent flavours. Excellent friendly service that never let us run out of water, and promptly fixed and comped one small issue with a dish without us having to request. Most of the menu is gluten free which is great to see. Note- bathrooms have not been renovated like the rest of the restaurant building and it sorely needs it. Could do with more non alcoholic beverage options.

Just brilliant. Amazed at the negative reviews Vs my experience.Top notch wines, attentive service. Food stands above all else. Would come back just for the Vegemite butter. Do not miss the donuts.

We ate twice this week at Parker St Project whilst visiting Dunkeld. We honestly couldn’t fault them - the meals were imaginative and delicious using fresh ingredients and so beautifully presented. Our favourite dishes were the sirloin steak, beetroot salad and the milk bun with Vegemite butter - divine! Shout out also to the staff who were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

If you come here expecting a decent pub meal, you'll be disappointed. The warning signs were there: Full waitress service, prices that would make your hair curl and not many people in the restaurant. I ordered a vegetarian dish for main course. Cabbage with some brown filling and mushrooms for $36.What came out was pitifully small, what you might expect for an entree. The three tiny mushrooms looked very lonely on the enormous plate. In fairness, it was tasty but barely touched the sides.Would you like anything else sir?" asked the waitress.I had to bite my tongue in response. A mixture of anger and disappointment must've been written on my face.I see other reviews saying how fabulous it was
