Had a beautiful flight on the Gooney bird for a Mother’s Day lunch. Very disappointed with the serving of our meals especially when we ordered on Thursday for a Sunday lunch, so there wasn’t the surprise element that we can’t handle a few people. My steak came first , while it tasted good it was a little tough. My wife ordered the cheese stuffed chicken that was just chicken tenders with cheese melted on top and dried out, possibly due to her meal arriving 20 minutes after mine. Don’t think I will hurry back. And the scallops weren’t much for entrée

Food and sunset views were fantastic. Must be hard to get produce because they had to substitute the crab pasta for lobster pasta! Staff were wonderful.

Tasty food highlighting the produce of King Island. Prawns, mussels, oysters, fresh vegetables, salad with some King Island feta, and a roast using King Island beef. And desserts include sticky date pudding, cheesecake all topped with King Island cream. And do try the cauliflower, potato and blue cheese soup. Excellent food and service!

Omg the food was Amazing, staff were brilliant, views were to die for .... Only feedback I want to give, would be even more amazing if you had a open fireplace going, but that is just my opinion and my opinion doesn't matter... Keep up the awesomeness

Under new management, with one of the best chefs king island has. Some sun shade blinds would really help this venue for that summer night dinner!

Easily the best place to stay in Currie, and quite possibly one of the best value for money places anywhere in the world. Nice rooms with great views and a fantastic restaurant with spectacular sun-sets. Highly recommended !

Great spot to stay, group of 8 blokes fishing and golfing, ideal !Breakfast was at 7 , but explained we were heading off early one morning so the manager got up at 5.30 and got us going, couldn't do enough for us ! we will be back for certain.

Just booked for dinner and was totally surprised by the views and top shelf food. Absolutely beautiful meals overlooking totally stunning 180 degree ocean and nature views.
