Wonderful place!

An amazing place with wonderful practitioners. The shop staff are friendly and helpful, the meditation guides supportive and nuturing. Massage therapists and yoga teachers are experienced and kind. My favourite place to be in Hobart!

Over the years I have enjoyed the yoga classes, meditations, several styles of massage, the book/gift shop..this place has so much to offer.

Notice that the recent reviews mostly come from higher level cult members. This is how a cult operates. Rather than discussing any critical reviews to their cult, they will add new reviews so that they appear on the top. I probably know more about this organisation because I owned the building and was the co-ordinator for the group based on the top floor, known as True Heart Foundation or Natural Way of living. I therefore am privy to the reality of the Lotus Centre, having founded it. The cafe is an independently owned business and is excellent. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a vegan , vegetarian option. Some other practitioners run independent businesses , so use your normal duty of care when using them. If you ask any questions to cult members about many of their harmful practices, you will not get an answer from them. Similar to Scientology, the system works on levels and the higher up one goes, they learn more information directly from their Guru. They are told not to communicate with ones who have not done those levels because their hearts" are not strong enough yet to understand the meaning. In reality

Amazing food, vegetarian and vegan focused. And such lovely staff.

I have found this place to be an oasis in the centre of Hobart. The people are really genuine and the atmosphere is one of peace and gentleness. The massage therapists are wonderful and I always leave feeling calm and rejuvenated.

Agree with review about top floor being a cult centre. Did the meditations and some workshops before I met an ex-member who made me have a better look and realized some thing was deeply wrong and left.

The Lotus Centre is definitely my favourite place in Hobart. In the middle of a busy day in the city, the Centre is like an oasis of peace and calm. I attend the public Open Heart Meditations whenever I get the chance, but I've also had nice experiences with some of the different practitioners who work in the building, as well as attending the yoga classes on the top floor.The building has a very unique feeling - tranquil, beautiful and very welcoming. I would encourage people to take advantage of the donation-based daily meditations and also to try out some of the different modalities on offer: yoga, massage, shiatsu, chinese medicine, naturopathy, reflexology, reiki. The staff are friendly and helpful, and you can go down into the bookshop downstairs (Babylon) afterwards and browse the books at your leisure. I love it!
