I moved here from Frankston and wow... firstly it has very little option of what classes you can do besides from sciences, furthermore the academic uniform is not waterproof so whenever it rains I get drenched, also it starts at 8:30???? This is unexceptable, truely this school needs a reboot.

The one star is not valid. LOL. PARENTS PLEASE I DO NOT RECCOMMEND this high school. For any parents wanting to send your children to this place, I beg you not too! THEY DO NOT HANDLE BULLYING SITUATIONS SERIOUSLY. My sister (Year 7) is being bullied by +6 students at this school, yet they don't take any immediate action. 1 against 6+ is no okay. BULLYING IS NOT OKAY. They are not taking anything seriously, after the amount of times we have gone back and fourth with this school. Communication is atrocious, no update on this situation to any of the parents. My sister is being harassed at school, crying, missing days off because of the hate and torment from these little kids. Her mental health has been impacted and they show no sympathy. Shes in year 7 for gods sakes, the start of highschool. I'm livid. I have sent them an email addressing this matter.. no follow up response or reply. ABSOUTLEY DISGUSTING.

Great school, but someone not nice teachers. I am currently in this school and my option may change over time. but this is my option for now. great school learning wise tho. uniform suck apart from sport uniform. hope this has helped you on choosing a school for your kid. sorry this short

Your child will just be 'lost in the numbers' at this school as, like most high schools, it's just too big with too many students and overworked staff. Admin are really nice and there is some great teachers there, but your child will be treated as just another problem to deal with if they aren't coping well. They don't deal with Bullies and disruptive students effectively either. They claim they have well being support, but help from that person is NEVER available. 1400 students and 1 counsellor just doesn't really cut it I'm afraid. My son liked maths, but the Maths Pathways program was absolutely terrible. I think they have finally scrapped it now, but too late for him as he left BHS due to being so unhappy there.

I think this is a very debilitating school that is run with no emphasis on kindness, growth or development. My child was treated very unfairly at this school, and I'm sure many other parents will agree with me in that the favouritism and lack of care is very clear in how it affects their students. Do not recommend to anyone who wants their child to grow up with their self esteem intact.

this place is absolute garbage. haven't gotten respect from any teachers unless something serious starts to happen. uniform is bad and uncomfortable. detentions are handed out on the daily for the most ridiculous reasons such as wearing the wrong color socks or wearing the wrong uniform on the wrong day. very serious for a public school. don't recommend this place, go to mullauna or something.

Too many annoying people (including teachers) and maths pathways and education perfect is my 13th reason why. Btw only go to the bathrooms if you wanna see kids making out or vape.

The combination of both the rigidity of the uniform rules, and the inconsistent manor in which they are enforced generates part of the foundations of the rather strange environment in which students are placed in. This gives many students, myself included the impression that the priorities of those senior at this school are not the standards of education and wellbeing amongst students but rather, the way in which we are presented to those on the outside, those externally. This breeds what could be unfair distain for those who are seen by many as the causes of all these issues.Student wellbeing, on the surface appears to be of great consideration to this school, students partake in surveys and webinars. But it all seems as if it's a facade, the statistics, tossed away like they mean nothing. Only to be regurgitated in a way that can be seen as insulting, simplified and dumbed down to talk up the schools image.I wish to conclude this remark by stating that most of the teachers are nice and caring people and I don't see curriculum based issues that are relegated to Blackburn Highschool.
