Five Flags Hotel
Just took a wee trip out of Ballarat for the day. Stopped at the five flags inn just as you come into Castlemaine for lunch. Wife had the fish I had the burger... both meals were to die for. Service was country hospitality at its best. Prices were good. Pub has a fantastic appeal. Do yourselves a favour drop in, you want regret it

A great place for a tasty well priced country sized meal. Good atmosphere with inside and outside dining options and a lovely wood burning stove inside the main dining area behind the bar. Friendly service staff with a good range of menu items served to the table. Drinks available at the bar. No coffee served but they are quite happy for you to get your coffees from the Cafe next door and bring them back. Overall a good experience although I would not suggest very wheelchair friendly to get in from the unsealed carpark.

Have eaten here probably 5 times now. Had lunch again on Saturday with 2 celiacs, a toddler and well...a picky grandparent. Food was exceptional, staff are warm and accommodating. Specials always change and so many options to cater for all. My favourite place for food hands down.

Absolutely loved the pub. Went there from Melbourne for lunch to try the rib eye on the bone and was not dissapointed. One of the best cooked steaks I've ever had

What a classic Australiana pub. Huge meals that taste amazing, great friendly staff and an awesome atmosphere in both the main bistro & front locals bar. Pool table is great and you can play tunes on the jukebox. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner. No other pub like this in the area.

Another lovely old pub with a great meal. Service was a bit slow but meal is worth the wait. Locals are a friendly bunch, with time to stop and pass the time of day.
