What an extremely rude and unprofessional woman. I spoke to this lady over the phone and explained to her my circumstances on why I couldn’t arrive to my appointment and she then went on to try make me feel bad and guilty about her being a single parent with a disabled child and then also went on to say I should get a mental health plan and that she didn’t want any further contact from me in the future. As a so called “therapist” I believe there meant to be someone you can talk to and trust. Felt quite disappointed to be honest as I understood her policy and was trying to talk to her about it how ever didn’t get great communication back.

I found Jo via a google search and read the many positive reviews written by her clients. My husband and I have been seeing her over the last couple of months and I now know why she has such excellent reviews.Jo has led us on an amazing journey of discovery and insight about ourselves, both past and present and our relationship together. She has given us support, very practical advice, and the tools to solve issues that had developed in our relationship.We found Jo to be very welcoming and generous with her time. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for that special someone to talk to.

I have been working with Jo for about a year now and she has been such a great blessing; quite literally a life saver. With her warmth and compassion she has been able to cultivate a space in which I feel totally comfortable to share all my thoughts and circumstances. I even appreciate the times when she has really challenged me. I had some good sessions and learnt lots over several sessions privately and as part of a couple.Unfortunately the trust and safe space developed over time was lost for me when for over 40 minutes as part of a couple's session, Jo let her personal opinions override her usual professionalism. She was dominant, obsessive, not measured or balanced and refused to entertain any alternate viewpoint than her own.None of this was beneficial to the couple's session we were in, where Jo opened by inviting us to share important moments since our last session. I shared some things that had impacted me, and they were not received in the usual professional way expected from Jo in a safe, confidential space.

Jo was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her approach was perfect and had a lot of good tips and techniques to help manage various situation. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I have been searching for answers for over 20yrs. Answers to why we have trouble connecting with ourselves, each other and other people. We have been to numerous couples councillors, social workers and psychologists over the years and always left with no answers or understanding as to what the actual problem is. Finding Jo has been a game changer both for us, as a couple and me individually. Without a doubt this has been the most effective, helpful, highly supportive counselling I’ve experienced. Previous experiences have not given me clear tools to work with whereas this time we are walking out of every session with work to do that we understand and can actually implement. Jo is honest, practical, warm, and calm. Jo has been pivotal in shaping the way i respond to stress, anxiety and negative emotions. She uses really effective exercises to give you the resources to handle situations that make you uncomfortable, emotional or stressed. When you feel like you’re drowning in your thoughts she manages to get you back to the present using really effective mindfulness techniques.
