Heathcote Retreat Motel

Very clean and comfortable room. Good location.

Arrived late and settled in to a very comfortable room.Price was reasonable and booking was straightforward with room details and code messaged to me.I will be staying here next time I am in town.

Stayed 4 nights over Xmas (24-28) as have family in area, in the 3 bedroom “ house” .Booking with Georgie was easy and very pleasant , a safe key code was sent through in pm a few days before .The accomodation was very homely with plenty of room and even a bbq area within a secure fenced backyard . Bedding and linen clean and comfortable with clean bathrooms ( ensuit and main ) with L’ occatine complimentary products . The showers are amazing .All bedrooms have tvs with good channel selections , a lovely welcoming lounge and a split system air conditioning ( boy did we need it … very hot weather ) .A big kitchen reasonably well stocked with kitchen and cooking items . A dishwasher which wasn’t working and I found the oven not the best ( as I was baking a ham and a pork for Xmas …. This was a bit touchey , but it all turned out alright ) . This is the reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 .Location just at the beginning of Heathcote if entering from Bendigo and at the end of the Main Street if coming from Melbourne . Approx 1hr 10 from airport ( Melbourne) price was reasonable for accommodation and services. Will definitely be staying again and recommend..

Proper country motel. Good sized accommodation. Clean as. Looks recently refurbished with more work being done on the property in general. Comfy bed with sparkling linen. Spotless bathroom with great hot water and shower pressure. Decent fridge and microwave. Enough supplies for the morning cuppa if needed. Crockery and cutlery for dining in. Good heating on this chilly night. Turned off on going to sleep and still plenty comfortable on awaking considering there was light frost outside.Would happily stay again.

We stayed in a luxury unit with a kitchenette and it was great. Lovely place. Good amenities with all utensils supplied.

Very nice motel. I booked very late minute and Eileen was so helpful and nice, going the extra mile. Very affordable for 4. The bedroom and bathroom are spotless and the toiletries are l'Occitane brand which is lovely. The mattress is firm which I really enjoyed. We had a choice between 2 rooms or one with a pull out sofa. Nice and quiet.

I booked my parents to stay here in one of the cabins for Xmas, when I booked a couple of months in advance they told me it wasn’t busy on Xmas day. When they arrived, they were disappointed as they were placed in the disabled room, therefore the bathroom was not what they had hoped for based on what we had seen in pics online. We called to see if they could be relocated to a different cabin, but was told that wasn’t possible although it seemed the others were unoccupied. The lady said they could relocate to a motel room, but didn’t offer to refund the difference in price as the cabins are far superior to the motel rooms. There are no staff on-site which makes it difficult to address issues.

Clean and off the road, do quiet.

This was a nice last minute accommodation idea and they fit us in nicely.Complimentary wine was a nice surprise.I wanted to move in permanent just for the shower lol. Also my 5yr old was impressed with the shower being his height (fully adjustable.Also they do have a couple cabins with ramp access

We had a lovely stay in the 3 bedroom house this weekend with family. Booking was easy and the hosts extremely accommodating. We had three generations staying and were able to have extra pull out beds set up for the kids. Beds were comfortable and the overall set up great. The yard is fenced meaning the kids could play outside safely. Great kitchen and bathrooms. Motel is at the entrance to Heathcote if coming from Bendigo, or through the town if coming from Melbourne. Still walking distance to the town and very close to many fantastic wineries. We will be back for sure.
