This review is related to my experience renting from a property managed by Raewyn.I rented a furnished 2B2B2C apartment. The bathroom door doesn't open and close properly, wall inside the wardrobe wasn't intact, fridge is too old, the door of freezer doesn't close and we had to use tape to stick it together. No response from Raewyn regarding fixing these issues, which is quite common because in this crazy real estate market in Darwin, property managers always take side of house owners and completely ignore tenants (though keep increasing the rent).The end of lease bond cleaning was horrible with Habitat.I used Yellow Rose cleaning service because it was recommended by Raewyn from Habitat Real Estate. As they say this one is professional and Recently we have been made aware of some dodgy 'Facebook' and 'Gumtree' cleaners who have ripped off some of our outgoing tenants."My mistake was paying for the service before getting the bond back from Habitat. I have been renting the same apartment for several years with Habitat Real Estate. Moving to the NT from Melbourne I didn't initially understand the difference in the rental market and expectations. I have had some lovely agents throughout my lease (Laure-Anne and Sophia) and have genuinely appreciated their patience in explaining the differences. I had a miss-understanding on one occasion, where I got upset, but it was quickly resolved by the manager calling me the confusion. I was listened to and I got off the phone feeling pleased with how it was handled - and no longer stressed. Every time I have submitted a maintenance request I have promptly received a response and quality, friendly tradespeople have been made available. They have further been flexible with inspection dates to accommodate things happening in my life. Overall I am really happy with the property and the service I continue to receive. I would definitely recommend Habitat to potential renters who are looking for straight up service, excellent communication and fairness.

Having dealt with Real Estate agents across Australia, Habitat was top of the list! We were lucky enough to have Laure-Anne as our property manager who made the entire process smooth and efficient! Habitat was more than accommodating and very responsive. Would highly recommend using Habitat if you are considering renting and securing Laure-Anne as your property manager!
