This was the best drop-in training experience I've had in 7 years of adhoc travelling BJJ. I turned up just hoping for a few rounds and someone to chat to, but Ian welcomed me right into the session as if I was one of his students. His focus on movement and principles meant that his feedback and instruction was both immediately useful and more widely applicable. Constrictor Team Australia opened my eyes to what Martial Arts is really about. The professor goes deep in the Jiu Jitsu philosophy and history and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I’ve always thought BJJ was about fighting and that rolling would get me injured. Silly of me… Constrictor Team showed me that BJJ is about overcoming fears, growing confidence by knowing you can protect yourself and avoiding people to hurt themselves. It’s about respect and friendship. And off course, laughing and rolling. Ian Ludgero is an incredible professor! He has the gift of teaching and the ability to identify everyone’s strengths and weaknesses in a minute. He will make you not only learn BJJ, but the entire philosophy and fundamentals of this Martial Art.
