New Era Tattoo

Been here twice now and im sure ill be back again! Looked after by the talented @cardatattoo with some of his sick flash. An awesome experience! So happy with my new tattoos!

I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by James for my head tatt. He did a great job, work’s efficiently, was always checking in and gave me all the aftercare advice you could ask for. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get a tattoo if you want good vibes and relaxing environment.

I was a little apprehensive with allowing an apprentice tattooist tattoo me, Raim was professional from the initial consultation to final execution of 2 swallows on my chest. Great work.Thank you Raim!

Both James and Raim did an amazing job in catering to my design ideas, as well as altering existing designs of theirs to my liking. They are masters of their craft and the pride they take in their work is evident by their results on finished work. Couldn’t recommend a studio that is a good as New Era. Unreal work team!

What a vibe!Such a relaxing chilled environment, with great music taste.I felt really welcomed by everyone who was there, both by clients and artists. The studio is very clean and the chairs are very comfortable for the weird positions you get into to get the right angle (mind out of the gutter).Dan @danoitattoos (get around him on Instagram) did an incredible custom piece in memory of my grandmother. I'm looking forward to filling the rest of my arm up with his art. Dan was so gentle and thorough with cleaning and design. 100% feel I gained a friend from the experience.Thanks again Dan

I got my first tattoo with Raim @raimbad (on instagram) . I walked in and was able to show her a reference photo of my dog, and the illustrative style I wanted. It can be really hard to visualise it all, and Raim was able to do a rough sketch for me. This is what I found really valuable in her service, she took the time to listen to what I wanted, look at the reference pics, and sketch it out. I was able to make suggestions or changes on the fly, and this was separate to my actual tattoo appointment. If I had not been able to see this before the day I was to get my tattoo, I probably wouldn't have gone ahead. It was easy to communicate with her. I'm finding it difficult when other tattoo artists prefer to communicate via email or instagram. There's a lot that can be misinterpreted over messages if I am wanting a custom design, but Raim actually gives me the time to discuss it in person. The place is tidy and clean and her rates are reasonable too. Highly recommend Raim!

I came in looking for my first tattoo done and one of the boys set me up with a young apprentice who struggled with English. I liked her art so I went with it, but when it came to detailing there was a massive communication barrier and this meant I unfortunately didn't end up with the tattoo I envisioned. It's not a sad ending as I can get it touched up but I will be going somewhere else to do it.During the tattoo, other staffers who were free watched on but nobody offered any assistance when both myself and the artist were very clearly struggling to communicate effectively. This was saddening. For the record, I'm not blaming the artist one bit, as I could tell she was really trying. She just didn't have the support she needed from her colleagues.The place was clean but I was disappointed that whoever was in charge left my artist completely on her own and hope in future they pay better attention and offer more assistance to their apprentices.

Would highly recommend. Raim did an amazing job on my wrist tattoo, beautiful fine detailing. Very happy. Shop is clean and pleasant too.

Very relaxed, cool and clean environment at New Era. Raim was great from the time of enquiry to the day of tattoo and creating the design that I hoped for. Awesome to have the second skin provided and help with after care queries during the week after. Highly recommend Raim and the New Era studio, great to have this place in the North!
