Extremely close to Darwin City, and to the beautiful Mindil Beach, MBCR is truly a lovely place to stay. The whole place is so well air conditioned in summer and the pool so lovely. I stayed in the Deluxe King which had loads of space and a really powerful hot shower. Aircon can be adjusted from room to room. The reception team are super welcoming and can help me out with everything. Nice inside walkways between casino and hotel and super easy to get to the pool. Adding breakfast onto your stay is recommended as their isn't much around unless you go into Darwin City.

Mindil beach Casino Resort delivers a great tropical experience for anyone looking to relax or gamble. The staff are consistently polite and happy to make your time enjoyable. Highly recommend the lagoon rooms for anyone looking to stay the night, the price of the rooms are a bit expensive but we’ll worth every dollar.

This is our second time staying here… the first time was in December and the cyclone was roaring, so we were unable to use the lagoon pool facilities. The second time we stayed here, we thought let’s give it another go, first booked the casino suites, however they are very outdated and old, old carpet flooring, smelt like mildew and the hallways smelt off…. paying 5 star prices for 3 star quality…decided it wasn’t worth the $931 for 2 nights so upgraded for an additional 225 a night for the lagoon room…They really need to ask customer feedback, rather than resting on the fact of Darwin being limited.Lagoon pool access room…Fans stay on the lowest speed, we are in Darwin and fans are a must… particularly near the sea, where it becomes more sticky…The aircon you cannot change below 22 or change the the fan speed… the rooms are muggy and uncomfortableThe tv you must pay for a daily fee to use their limited old movie selection…5 star resorts always provide smart tv accessibility.. (without wanting more money again)Have block out blinds but the bathroom light comes blaring into the rooms… no point having the blinds…The king bed (two singles stuck together) part ways in the night and are not even the same height so you are sleeping on the hard edges.. not even investing into a proper mattress topper… “ah the sheet will do”The lagoon pool you can use free to the public and we are paying 5 star prices again and receiving below rate beds, aircon and comfort…This is not worth the money.. $1400 for 2 nights for a simple room that doesn’t even have comfortable bedding..I will not be staying here again for those ridiculous pricing…Best off staying at another hotel for half the price, and use the free lagoon pool facilities here. Please before you continue asking 5 star prices for standard comfort, please review what a 5 star resort facilities provide.Thank you

Rooms, whilst dated, were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Sheridan at reception is easily the best hospitality professional I have dealt with for many years. The hotel is airy and spacious. The lovely infinity pool is open to the public after midday Fri/Sat/Sun, has very loud music, becomes extremely busy and essentially feels like a club for U25s who vape. It would be hugely helpful if a number of sun loungers could be reserved/prioritised for hotel guests. This leaves the lagoon pool as the only option, which is much less appealing and, as with the infinity pool, had no sunloungers available when we wished to use it. Drinks taste 'watered down' at all the bars in Darwin, and MBCR was no exception. Signage to the new gym had not been updated, so finding it wasn't easy and there was no drinking water available there. Parking is easy, as is access to the CBD and Cullen Bay.

The hotel is not that big but service staff was attentive and friendly. There are 2 swimming pools in the hotel and they are very nice. Good Italian and Chinese restaurents located inside the hotel. Rooms in main hotel wing is a bit old and could do some renovation. We stayed in their mini suite and amenities are good. Room facing the ocean has good view! The Casino is small but very decent. Most of the floor managers are extremely helpful and friendly! Same for the dealers. I enjoyed playing in the casino.

The place itself is nice, so are the pools. However, we waited for about 15 minutes for anyone to come even ask us about drinks, let alone ordering, in an EMPTY resteraunt. The breakfast that we paid ahead for wasn't all that great. The fruit plate had very little, which would be fine, except more than half was bad and not in season: mushy strawberries, soft grapes, white pineapple... None of the other places were open during the week, neither was the spa, and the sauna was broken. Our view from the balcony was directly in front of a green light that lit the room up all night, which we didn't pay extra for a nice view anyway, but we couldn't get on the balcony because they locked it with an actual key. We got locked out on the first day when they door battery died. These were a lot of issues that we figured shouldn't happen in a high quality" hotel. The staff was friendly and kind

Terrible mouldy bathroom and the showers was in the bath - receptionist told us you have to expect that in the tropics!! I’ve been to 5 star hotels else where in the tropics and they didn’t have mould around the shower and bath!! Wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t for the nightly rate of $470!!! Apart from that we enjoyed the location and amenity.

The machines were nice as always. The only thing is that I passed the customer service desk and the young gentleman behind it looked up at me and kinda rolled his eyes. He didn't even say hello. He felt unapproachable. It was 11:15am and he wasn't busy. I didn't feel comfortable.I did win a little money!

Firstly and most importantly the staff, They are so friendly cheerful and helpful.Special shout out to Sonja and Taylah. You girls made the stay so much more entertaining. The Rooms by the lagoon pool are sensational, two steps off the deck and splash. The infinity pool in the arvo watching the sun set whilst drinking a pink colada, bloody awesomeWhether it’s work or a family holiday, I recommend the casino.

We stayed overnight at the Mindil Beach Casino Resort recently while travelling. It is a nice hotel in Darwin. The room was comfortable, clean, and had an amazing view over the beach. The food at Vue restaurant was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Darwin again. It is worth noting that it is 1 or 2 km from the town centre, so there's not much else around in close walking distance.
