I have a very similar story to James. Was refused to have my retainer looked at which was half falling off over 2,000kms away from home. It was very painful. When speaking with the receptionist they offered no alternative solutions or advice. Would love to give a 0 star rating, but unfortunately have to give a 1 star as 0 is not an option.

I had a loose retainer wire from an orthodontist in another city. They refused to help and suggested to put up with it until I could travel to my previous orthodontist to have it fixed. After calling around another orthodontist was able to help very quickly. I'm so so very sorry, but you only get 1 star
