The filling was good, genuinely felt that there wasn't enough to balance out the pastry, and the pastry was also overcooked and oily. Not great, was expecting that famous soft British pastry but just seems like your generic Aussie bakery.

My partner has just come home with 2 pies mincemeat and onions and chicken curry pieSoon as I took them out of there paper bags I can tell there is nothing British about them.The pastry is thick and looks like any standard Aussie pieDon't waste your time and money on this shopI'm British been here 12 years 58 year's old I know a good pieYou can buy those pies anywherei n Perth

Was good ,very good .Not since it's changed ownership recently.Been a regular since they opened but the last two visits in the last week or so have been ordinary .Stale, crumbly bread in a sandwich and a steak pasty with next to no filling .

UPDATE - Since the new owners took over in November 2022, the food quality has dipped a bit, but the customer service has decayed a lot. If the food gets worse I won't be back.Pork (and egg) pie? Eccles cake? Pork sausage roll? Just three of the amazing goodies you can get here - and then there's the pulled pork rolls on a Saturday... so good! The only thing stopping me from coming in more often is my waistline wouldn't forgive me!Keep making the scrummy goodies!

This is no longer The British Bakery, yet another good bakery taken over by Asian business. What a waste of time, travelled from south Perth to get our scotch pies and they don't have anything british in it.This has to be false advertising, doesn't matter if they bought the company along with the name, I expect there to be British produce in a British bakery, not this typical Asian bakery rubbish.
