The office is shutting down permanently from the 31st of August 2017. There will be no face to face contact with the officers anymore. All enquiries will be dealt with over the phone. The guy at the counter was friendly and informative.

It is a shame that the Dandenong office is closing down, as there is a huge need in this area. As someone who used to work in the city office, I can assure you the staff there are dedicated and work in a very stressful environment. There should be more offices, not less. But it is all to do with budget cuts which is bad news for staff and clients alike.

After a harrowing couple of hours navigating on the Immi website yesterday I was reminded of my experience at the Dandenong Office last year when I'd had an equally stressful time in Melbourne city trying to organize an emergency passort and visa sticker. I decided on a last minute trip to Dandenong to sort it out and was so glad I did. Great customer service, super helpful and in/out quickly. Much easier than using the website...it's worth the drive seriously.
