In regards to Mrs Greenwood and the insultive report recently uploaded, she is a wonderful teacher who has retired from the school last year. She has had an excellent reputation and this is the first negative response I have ever heard about her from any of the parents. I have never had any issues with her and she is a lovely woman with a kind character. I wish her all the best for the future! This is a fantastic school and I have had no problems with ANY of the teachers there from day 1 for my son. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who would like to send their child to a school with excellent morals and values.Evangelia Polis.

Sherwood Christian Christian School is everything about how to train your child and shape their hearts to have gospel-centred. Mrs. Stashko is a warm-hearted kindy teacher who really care about the spiritual and academic growth of our children. We are so blessed with this school.

The reviews on this site appear to be poles apart. The “multi-star” reviews are either extremely brief and/or overly, emotionally nice in their comments. This type of “emotional reaction” holds no substance or fact based evidence and hold no regard or kindness for the abuse victims’ suffering. The “one star” comments have been written with considerable thought, personal experience, honesty and fact based evidence. These comments have taken into account the actual statements of students & parents, current or past, who appear to have been subjected to negative, traumatising stimuli. The school, an institution of education directly associated and run by the attached small church, are places that a child or adult should expect to find as a haven from bullying and abuse. When a person's experiences dictate to them that their safety at said school or church is non-existent, they are affected greatly and can become withdrawn, anxious and even depressed. These impairments hinder the victims’ ability to retain and assimilate knowledge from both intended and unwritten learning environments. The significant others of these students who have written these comments have conveyed their shock at what has occurred. They also convey an understandable anger and disappointment with the system to which they had entrusted their children. This perceived modicum of trust is not something that one would associate with a place of education, especially one that touts itself as a religious organisation. The bullying and abuse is more than just an attack on the innocence and security of the lives of young children, which in itself is reprehensible, it is also a betrayal of the trust placed in the school and church by the children’s significant others. The trauma that usually results from such instances is extremely harmful to both student and guardian physically, mentally and spiritually and the effects can be life long. Any person of rational thinking would not want to attend a church, or school, that would allow children and adults to be physically, mentally and spiritually abused. The “multi-star” reviews contain the substance of nothing more than friendly peer support, for work colleagues or co-members of an organisation in order to gain good standing. This style of writing usually belies a less academic process of thought, conveying a more personal and highly emotionally charged desire to “hit back” at comments rather than to address, with logic and thought ,facts and truths that have been revealed by another party, namely the writers of the “one star” comments. These comments are representative of a system where those perceived as the weak and undesirables, or people with different beliefs and not associated with the school’s and church’s own perceived normality, are bullied and ostracised. These actions are the actions of a society, a sub-culture or even counter-culture, as would be expected in a controlling and dominating train of thought that led to such historically shocking occurrences as the ATO standoff in Waco Texas.

Mrs Greenwood will poke and push your child. Poking and or shoving is a form of assault and will not be tolerated in any school. Paying a high fee to have your child educated, and, being a Christian school, you would think that the money you are paying would be going towards a loving environment with teachers that would Nuture your child, just to find out they are being pushed, and poked instead. Poking, and pushing a child is not a form of discipline especially not in the department of educations eyes. From a legal point of view this is actually a form of child abuse. Absolutely appalling behaviour coming from a teacher. Actions like this where this where a teacher pokes and pushes a child or even screams at a child, can and will undoubtably cause a negative impact in the child’s life. I really do question the quality of the teachers at this school and would prefer NOT to hear another report of poking. Absolutely horrendous behaviour. I really do stress that this message is seen and is actioned accordingly. This will not be accepted.

Mrs Gibson is correct regarding Greenwood. Retired or let go because parents spoke up". Some were fooled by Greenwoods deceitfuly niceties but in truth towards the kids she's both physically and emotionally out of control or abusive as some call it. When a school hires untrained teachers and chooses to compromise with teachers educational training what you end up with are teachers like Greenwood. If you compromise with teachers education you will compromise with the students education and safety
