Had a warranty issue on two printer cartridges that I purchased. We don’t print much so it had been over a year when the first cartridge began to not print properly. Opened the second, brand new in box cartridge only to find that too was failing, but for a different reason. Called HP who diagnosed it as an issue with each cartridge and directed me back to NES for warranty return.Spoke to NES who gave me the run around from day 1 but culminated in them claiming to have rung HP regarding my issue, though when I called HP they had no record of the call. NES also said HP told them if the cartridges were bought more than 12 months ago, they weren’t covered by warranty, however HP explained that provided the expiry date on the cartridges hadn’t elapsed, they were covered. One cartridge was within but the other had an expiry date prior to my purchase from NES. So they sold me super old stock. No wonder the cartridge didn’t work properly.Tried to address this with NES and they asked for photos or the cartridges and proof of purchase, which I supplied. Then they asked for a photo of the packaging, to which I replied, I threw the box out. First time I’ve ever been asked to prove purchase beyond a receipt. Clearly just the latest tactic in their attempt to avoid replacing this under warranty. All ended up with NES telling me several times that the manager would call me to discuss but never did. Terrible service.
