Great place to camp, plenty of space as long as you don't mind walking to the pool. The pool it self was fantastic, ckean, modern, the best facilities. The water was too hot FOR ME to stay in too long, but without doubt one of the best I've visited and stayed at.

news to me - I'd never seen of this before - so missed it on our last year's road trip to Lightning Ridge. Google Maps tells me this is about an hour's drive north west from LR. But what Google Maps doesn't tell me (and HERE WeGo maps does) is that it appears to be an unsealed road betwixt, so yeah go your FWD/SUV/Campervans - not saying I couldn't have driven my old Honda Civic sedan, just I didn't know about this until just now. Pix look newish, and oldest Google Maps review I saw were 2 years ago, so is that how long this has been there ?I liked to comment about the boiled frogs at 50C - hottest Japanese onsen I can stand is about 42C.

Camped on the other side of the Springs. They have made the springs into a swimming pool with a ramp way with rails so accessible for all. It's not very deep. There is also a ledge running around the inside, but be warned, night time, you will be attacked by mozzies.

A great little find that was not in our original plans. Great Free Camp across the road. Well done to the locals for providing and upkeeping such an amazing little gem

Very relaxing stopover the springs are a little on the warm side during the day but are very pleasant at about dusk. The townspeople and maintenance crew deserve a huge pat on the back very done

A gem in the outback, fabulous hot pool with shade above, shower and toilet in the pool grounds. BBQ and table in the area.Camping, free at time of visit with a dump point and potable water nearby.Wetlands close by with some bird life. Shop in Lightning Ridge before driving to the pool. Told that they are building a new food store.

Wheelchair friendly pool. About 60cm deep and has plenty of in water" seating around the sides. Water temp around 40°. Well kept and regularly cleaned. Toilets

Nice new facilities with free camping right outside the pool. Flush toilets and hot showers. Pool at deepest is only waist deep. BBQ's and exersize equipment also located on site. Open 24/7.

We've been here before was great the first time. Second time round, the pool was full of toads like 100s! And it was 50 degrees no way could you hop in which was disappointing. The toads were boiling on impact.
