We’ve been coming here so many times now and not once has it been a disappointment I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are all friendly and very helpful with explaining what the dishes are. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants in Melbourne. All the dishes were amazing and cooked to perfection!

Sometimes I come to a particular restaurant to try a particular dish, and it totally sucks when they've run out of it. With that said, there are a lot of shortages in the world in general right now due to staff or whatever, so I can't really blame the restaurant if they've ordered stock and they can't get it. With that said, while I really wanted (and came for) the Buffalina Fritta, I instead ordered the Kingfish Crudo which was really, really good. Very delicious and fresh, but I could have had seconds and thirds of that, lol. For main, I got the duck, which was also fantastic, but the most excellent part of the entire meal was the chocolate dessert (which I see is already off the menu). It was SO beautifully presented and tasted incredible.Would I come back? Yes, I would. The only real negative I have, is that in exceptionally fine print, they noted a surcharge on Sundays (which is a pain in the butt), which we didn't see until the bill came. When you're dealing with expensive food, the surcharge adds up pretty quick, so I didn't like that. But the service and food are worth the trip, and yes I do recommend it here (Just maybe any other day than Sunday).

Overall, Tipico was good. Decor is nice and modern but felt intimate. Service was good and attentive. Food was good. What we ordered was cooked well and tasted good, just nothing really wowed us. The homemade focaccia with whipped butter was delicious though.

I was a little bit disappointed with this place after waiting for so long to visit.We waited for about 10 minutes even though we had a reservation. This wasn’t too much of a big deal, but it’s worth noting.We had the Tortelli and Risotto for mains. The sauce that went with the Tortelli was delicious and worked really well. But the pasta was quite underdone in places. Not so much that it was inedible, but a bit too chewy for my liking. And I say that as someone who generally prefers a bit more al dente. It is also worth noting that none of the Moreton Bugs were in the actual pasta, rather it was placed on top of it. The filling of the Tortelli comprised solely of stracciatella. Which tasted great, but due to the fact that it is so liquidy when melted, it all burst out as soon as I cut into the pasta, leaving me with half a Tortelli with no filling. If I wanted to ensure I got some cheese with the Tortelli, had to eat it all in one go, which was a little undignified due to the size of said Tortelli. The bugs themselves were good, but I felt the pieces could have been a bit larger.The risotto, like the pasta, was a bit underdone in my opinion. And the overall taste of the dish wasn’t great. There was a strong, strange flavour that permeated the dish. I have a feeling this is one of those things were some people would love it and others would hate it. Unfortunately I’m in the latter. There was also some slightly grainy stuff spread throughout the risotto, like little bits of sand or something.A tiramisu for dessert. Overall, it was ok. The flavour was nice but the texture wasn’t great. The marscapone was watery and you didn’t really get any bite from the ladyfingers.The cocktails were great and the service was very friendly. I wouldn’t rule out coming back here, because I still get good vibes from this place, and I still believe they’re capable of doing good food. Unfortunately I just ordered the wrong thing and came on the wrong day.5.5/10

For entrees, we ordered, Ciabattine, Salumi Misti with Buffalo Mozzarella, Ostriche and Crudo. The warm pizza dough complemented the Salumi very well.All of us went for the Tortelli for our mains - 6 large tortellini was surprisingly filling as the serve seemed small. The pasta was a little thick and a little chewy and the flavour was well balanced. A tasty dish. For a little spice, ask for some chilli in oil.The charred Broccolini side dish was delicious.Dessert was Crostata Al Limone - a lemon tart which the others enjoyed but I personally found it a little too sweet.The G.M.C.P cocktail was deliciously refreshing.Service was good and attentive.

Some of the best italian in melbourne, especially if you’re vegetarian! Every single dish was amazing :) The ambience is the perfect mix between classy and warm, service was incredible too which really made it a perfect date night for us !!

So glad I found this little gem of a place! Had dinner here with my friends and we had an amazing experience! The staff were attentive, polite and knew their menu well as they were spot on with their recommendations. The atmosphere was lovely and we were seating close to the kitchen so we could also see the chefs preparing our dishes. Every dish that we had was delicious and I had one of the best mocktails ( cause I was driving) I’ve had in awhile! There is also easy off street parking and we will definitely be back to try the other dishes we didn’t get to on the menu! Definitely recommend to book ahead too! Well done Tipico!

We had a lovely Wednesday night. The restaurant was nicely warm and amazing service that took care of us was fantastic and super attentive. The food was fabulous too, the fried Buffalo has a great combination of sauces, and the pasta tastes fantastic. I'm blown away by your delicious food, and outstanding service!Oh! Definitely, our baby proved too. :)
