Stowaway Kangaroo Island

We had an amazing time staying in the Sleepy Hollow late October 2020! Everything had luxury finishes, from the linen to the smell of freshly baked bread walking in! You are in your own world here, you can relax in the spa on the deck and really unwind. A truly amazing experience. A few minutes down the road is Stokes Bay, where you can explore an amazing hidden beach and perhaps be lucky enough to see dolphins playing in the waves like we did! We loved watching the sunset in the window seat followed by kangaroo/joey watching right by the window :) Do yourself a favour and stay here, you will be helping support KI locals post bushfire too! Thanks again!

We stayed in The Snug for 3 wonderfully restful nights over New Year. The accomodation, quality of furnishings even down to the dishes could not be faulted. Never been so happy to stay in and cook for ourselves and enjoy the hot tub at the end of a day sight seeing. I will miss the reading nook the most watching the wildlife curled up with a good book.

This place is next level. We stayed in the Snug. The attention to detail here is fantastic with very high quality finishings. The comfort is so high we dint want to drive off an explore the island. Perfect for a couple wanting a romantic, relaxing weekend away.

My husband and I stayed at the Sleepy Hollow for a few days in May and absolutely loved it. The stand-alone accommodation is very private, quiet and the surroundings are very serene. The views from the bay window are spectacular. The place is very well kept, furnishings and appliances are of good quality. The real wood burning fire place and the smell of freshly baked bread on arrival are nice touches.

My wife and I had the most incredible few days at the comfortable Stowaway Cottage.What a spot!The food packages were sufficient and delicious and the overall attention to detail surpassed our expectations.Thank you Carly & Team.

We stayed an incredible 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. I honestly didn’t want to leave.Everything you could ever want has been thought of and included. We enjoyed the spa, the sauna, the views and the board games. There was even bread baking when we arrived, along with a chilled bottle of local bubbles and a delicious platter.The owners have incredible style, the building design takes advantage of the beautiful surroundings and it’s a pleasure to relax and unwind in any room of the property. There is a viewing window/daybed to read a book or a freestanding tub to chill out and take in the ocean views or the roaming wildlife. The full cooks kitchen has all the tools needed to make the most delicious meals and it has a coffee pod machine, mini bar, cocktail table, port decanter and fully integrated sound system for each room.You will want for nothing and enjoy everything.I felt like I’d arrived home (if my home were a 5 star, deluxe, architecturally designed masterpiece)Do yourself a favor and book it. Don’t bother looking around. This is the one.Adults only so all the fixtures are high end and it’s absolutely worth the visit.Enjoy - we certainly did.

We just loved Stowaways. We stayed in The Nest, it was superb. The scenery, the wildlife, the spar and sauna, the decorations, the bathroom, we loved absolutely everything. But for us it was about the feeling of being secluded, in the most welcoming accommodation we have ever experienced.A dream come true.Thank you Carly and AdamKate and Trev

We stayed in 'the nest' at the stowaway in KI for our honeymoon. The space has been perfectly planned. It feels so warm and very fancy all at the same time. So many luxurious features and very homey touches like freshly baked bread, a delicious welcome pack and decanting port. Beautiful panoramic views, beautiful sunsets and very secluded. It was so perfect and i am recommending everyone to stay there !

Where to start! Our stay at 'The Hide' was one of the most relaxing times we've ever had together. Every detail is luxurious and so well thought out, from the spa to the sauna to the beautiful bath and all the small touches in between. Sitting in the hot tub surrounded by nature will be a memory we will be thinking back on for a long time! We absolutely loved our time here - thank you Carly and the team :)

My wife and I stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Sleepy Hollow, which was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The scenery is just stunning and the design of the cabin maximises the views of the landscape and Roos at sunset. Carly has thought of everything- with a welcome box of local goodies including sparkling, and everything you need for a comfortable stay in a very isolated location. Carly was easy and quick to communicate with and very accommodating to our queries. Highly recommend the Stowaway for romantic and quiet holidays and would love to come back sometime
